XITE-2U : Integrated A16 and Intel/Win7 mobo. Just add monitor, keyboard and mouse. Goodbye rack, goodbye incompatibilities, goodbye cable spaghetti :)

In the xite 2+, there is a tactile screen that is hidden in the back plate for protection during transport '(easier to put in a rack)..
You need to unscrew the xite-2 backplate to pull the 11' tactile screen out.... what is great is that is it wireless (wireless usb) so you can plug it directly to either one of the 4 xite usb ports, or to the pc/mac as you think fits. Wireless so it can be put to a keyboard, a guitar, or whatever for live acts and you are not limited by cables anymore. Myself I was a bit worried to leave the screen inside the rack when it is working, for heat and such, but I have received official confirmation that the screen material can resist to heat over 400° celsius....
Too bad they are late issueing the 256 bit drivers with CUDA support........
mmm, ok, back to 2010 now

by that time all the DSP and 4TB SSD will fit in a wireless USB6 watch you can use near any phone, computer, TV or whatever can play audio.

You won't need it (the XITE-AnyNumber, that is) because every musical creation will be composed and rendered by The Cloud. Everything is a virtual studio, apart from the fact that you don't need a studio anymore...

I suppose half the fun is the integration and knobs. Goodbye gear lust if we render with nothing but our minds and the cloud. Oh yeah, and the raves on the 'Z'....

If they can send 256 audio streams in both directions with 1ms latency to "the cloud" where you have to pay extra for each track and plugin you use, no thanks :)

Yeah, there's always some 'gatekeeper' in the line somewhere with their hand out wanting 'fees', or 'tokens'.

I'll wait for a better Aussy exchange rate - 69 cents per $Euro ( or 87 cents per $USD ) would kill me...
