Can I connect an external Zoom effects rack to the Pulsar setup and send a selected Mixer channel throught the rack. What extra equipment might I need to do this?

Hi.
Should be no problem.
You don't need any extra equipment.

From (big) mixers aux send to analoge destination
from Pulsar analoge output to FX rack.
Return from FX rack to Pulsars analoge input.
From Analoge source to (big)mixers aux return.

Or,

If you wanted multiple effects in the same manner as described below, you'll need more inputs and outputs right? (more than just the analog in and out).. For this you'll need some A/D converters, which will convert the ADATs on the pulsar to 16 ins and 16 outs. A few companies around who make these, kinda expensive tho.

But gives lots of ins and outs!

you can also use external fx as inserts in the bigmixer. but i also would recommend to get converters for more i/o´s.
