DADEV - VTube v3
i'm new to making music on a semi-pro level. my concern was how do i get that fat sound into my system? enter vtube. i've ran this several times through my latest track to beef up the kick as well as the bassline. and it did. does it do it as well as external tube preamps i can't say but for software it did what i wanted it to do. the kicks punched and the bass beefed up. i use cubase and the compressors it cubase work well but vtube added extra beef-e-ness that the compressors in cubase could not. the 3 knobs on the right allow you to change the sound in such a way that you can get a tight kick dead middle or some thundering lows that spread the stereor field. i'm not a professional engineer. there are better external tube preamps. but for the price and sound vtube delivers. none the less, it will find its way into the next track.

hi!
i have to say the vtube is very very very good !!! however I don't like it too much on the whole mix or maybe to give a strong "color" to the mix . But it can just do miracle on guitar , bass , voice , drum . the things becomes more sweet, fat with more depht just like real tube . You can use it like a tube distortion on guitare , it's amazing ! a good friend for the celmo GAM . it can turn a simple guitar sound ( marshall + sm57) into something with more depth and remove the metallic sound you can have with very strong distortion . I've notice one bug ! ( it seems regular to dadev device but just one here and maybe it's me ?) . on the device you can adjust the dry level and the vtube level . the dry level do the job but the vtube level not ? when I turn the dry off and the vtube off there is still the vtube sound ? and the level it's the same along the pot course ? the pot seems do nothing ? so it' a minor bug since you can adjust the dry pot . I was not convinced at all by the vtube feature on the multicompdemo V3 ( bad metallic sound but maybe a bug ? ) , but this one is a other story ! when something is good I like to say that ! highly recommended ( it eat 1 dsp !!!)

Only thing that I can say is that when used to final mix it changes the phases of stereo image and that's why stereo image is changed. but for other things is ok .
Frog amp6free-2 try this on stereo files and you'll see that it don't change stereo image of final mix.
I listening sound od Genelec 2029+1091sub and S30D all digitally connected to scope x 2. in professional studio room.

yes this is why I don't like it on the final mix . but the phase trouble is less than for the multicomp !!
so to avoid phase trouble the dry is put at a low level compare to the vtub.
I would like nikko take care about this phase trouble . it is why I have don't bought the multicomp . the vtub is cheap so I live with that , and if I take care I can have very nice sound.

The Multicomp v3.3 should not have a Phase issue. Could you confim that you have this phase trouble on the v3?
When I upgraded to the XTC platform, I've been obliged to change many things, and some internal settings have not been correctly saved and it has destroyed completely the v3.2.
Hopefully this version has been fixed quickly and this problem should not be in the v3.3. If yes, tell me and give me more details.

nikko I've tested the v3.2 multicomp demo not the v3.3 .
is the v3.3 demo available in your web site ?
by the way on the vtub device I find the vtub and dry pots very strange like I've already said . It seems there is some delay between the dry and vtub ,related to the valve simulation parameters ;so sometime there is a really boring phase cancellation , then I have to turn off the dry pot to avoid it .
