just saw a new Dutch documentary about Youngstown, USA, as iconic for the decline of the old industry and thus of the middle class.

The young Bill Clinton gave a speech over there, and promised jobs, and recently Trump too.
Snake oil is what they both sell, a term I learned from the doc.

Nice song tho :D

Janis Joplin . Was the undisputed "Queen of Rock" and the first female Rock-Superstar. She started with Blues and had a VERY soulfull voice when she sung that way. She had a very unique Bluesy-Rock voice that produced top-notch singing. Love her very heavily distorted raspy voice that can get very dynamic, expressive, creative, and soulfull. Her distorted screams are lioness and legendary. Her contributions to Rock and Blues were very significant tho often forgotten and overlooked. Unfortunately she died at a early age of 27 from drug overdose. She died about 2 weeks after Jimmy Hendrix in 1970 so the world of Rock took multiple huge loses back then. I just bought her "The Essentials" album with about 27 songs and I love it and her 8) . She has the type of voice that makes any weak song sound good thus I can pretty much listen to her whole album without skipping tracks wich is rare since I can't do this with most artists. And her best songs are simply put amazing and phenomenal.

Truly the Queen of Rock but also I'm convinced now she's the best Blue-Eyed-Soul singer EVER , who I believe had a lot of sadness in her life wich allowed her to sing the Blues/Soul well. Blue was really her and her expression, thus she sung it in a genuine way. She came and left this world extremely quick at 27 years old but her impact was enormous. It's always the good ones that die young. It's always the troubled souls that are artistic-geniuses. Fairly prolific artist for such a short life and very short 4 years in the pro music world/big-league. Love me some Janis Joplin. Links to her songs are below:
