I have tried to connect the optical output of Noah to my surround sound amplifier.
I cannot get out any sound with any settings of the Noah (yes I did enable it to SPDIF output)

Using the same cable and amplifier with output from PC, PS2 or Minidisc works perfect. However the output from NOAH somehow is not recognised

Anyone using the Optical Output in SPDIF mode?

I use the SPDIF out format, works fine for me. Have you modified the mixer mains / channel outs to send anything to the optical SPDIF output? You'll want to send things out ADAT 1/2.
