The best FM synth EVER for Scope. Efficient DSP usage and nifty features make this a new gem!
What are the nifty features? This isn't just your grandfather's DX7: it uses analog oscillators! I know NI's FM7 has analog samples for waveforms, but these are REAL analog oscillators complete with pulse width! Four oscillators with a dedicated lowpass filter and two envelopes, including amp, for each. Any oscillator can modulate another one, and feedback is possible, though it's rather unstable-sounding. And unlike normal FM, the tone remains constant across the entire keyboard!
Each oscillator be sent to the main mix, including panning control! In addition, the filter envelopes can modulate the pitch of each oscillator -- creating wacky effects not possible in the FM7!
Most components can be turned off, saving DSP power.
There aren't too many internal modulation options in this synth, but almost every knob is interpolated, meaning you can control it remotely via MIDI (Red_Muze's ValMonitor+ for Modular is a perfect companion). So dig away!
Installation instructions: I used a DSP file that wasn't in my main Scope directory, so I had to copy it over, and I've included it in the package. If you need any other DSP files, please let me know (I don't see why CreamWare would mind, since I should be able to use all DSP files included with the SDK). Copy the DSP file into your Scope/App/DSP directory. I'm sure you know where to place the device and preset files. Also, I used a couple of fonts that I think I got from Corel. I'm not sure I should be handing them out, but I tried standard Windows fonts, and they were really boring, so I'll give these fonts to you, but PLEASE DON'T USE THEM FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN THIS SYNTH!! I hope Corel doesn't find out.
Have fun!
Shayne

congrats shayne, and thanks a lot!
i only played with it for some15 minutes, but just going through some presets, got me pretty excited. this is a real cool synth which will probably end up in my slimmed down fav folder for live use!
great work.
btw. where should these TTF files go? i just opened the synth (on mac) and all works fine with the normal fonts (which don't bother me).

Great synth !!!
One or 2 things I miss : self feedback inputs eg 1 to 1 ... fixed pitch option in Hz and AT that acts bipolar on each operator pitch.
Portamento, glissando ... etc
I can run 3 voices at 96Khz in most cases on my Pulsar II : well done !

Oscs 2&3 were both working after I saved and reloaded a project. Does it still do that for you?
I removed the fonts from the zip file. I hope none of you have pirated them in the short time they were available!

No, put it in (Your Scope Folder)/App/dsp.
It should work now, unless it needs other DSP files.

I just resolved a problem where the MVC wasn't responding to a MIDI channel change. Everyone, please re-download the zip file!
