It is a dynamic effect or signal level control gate with fixed sustain time.

The gate controls either the input or output level of an effect insert, this will give a "sender" or "gate" to whatever effect you put in the insert.

You could use sender, for example to just send the attack portions of notes to a reverb or delay so that you can still hear the effect but it does not muddy up the mix

"gate" is like a gated reverb or noise gate

It can also be used to change the dynamic envelope of the signal itself (just use it with no effect in the insert, or the insert turned off)

There is a DSP switchable filter on the control circuit so you can make it respond to different frequencies, this is good because bass sounds have a much stronger signal level than higher frequencies, and you may want to reject them.

there is also a "look ahead" which compensates for the time it takes for the control circuit to process the signal, and envelope rise times being more than zero.
(at the expense of 0-4Ms latency)

This is a Demo. the final package will also include a standalone (non insert) version with midi control of gate time (and triggering) through midi note, and a side chain input.

note: the demo timer uses a mono PC based delay, So keep that in mind with your PCI bandwidth load.

This does not use the standard atoms normally used to do a gate. So it does not sound like other creamware atom based gates.

Update Jul16 :
>Fixed a problem with the dry signal being affected by the envelope levels. also as a result you will get a more dynamic sound.
>Higher resolution Threshold control.

By the way "sender" sounds really lame. is there a proper word for that?
