What does the dsp meter tell you in details
In case of pci version, what are the numbers mean on the dsp meter?
out and about for music production. Are you still configguring your Studio music first!
Re: What does the dsp meter tell you in details
Can I influence or optimize the usage of dsp?

Re: What does the dsp meter tell you in details
you can optimize with the XITE.
with the sync numbers, you can see the load on each dsp. the async numbers tell you what processes are speaking to the cpu.
by observing the pattern that things get loaded onto dsps, you can optimize your behavior...maybe...

Re: What does the dsp meter tell you in details
Does this mean a reverb needs a lot of async?
And the more async you have, the more danger of pci overflow errors?
What is the max. Number for the load of one dsp? 1067?

Re: What does the dsp meter tell you in details
yes, reverb uses a lot of async. reverb is 1000s and 1000s of delay lines, which uses ram.
yes, a lot of async can lead to overflow.
ASIO uses async.
i'm not sure what the maximum sync is. it's over 1067, you have a dsp using 1135...

Re: What does the dsp meter tell you in details
I am often terrorised by pci overflow errors. What can I do to make it better? PC Settings? My own behavior?

Re: What does the dsp meter tell you in details
i don't know.
maybe....
what motherboard?
what exactly is in the project?
your system is not without limits....every system has limits.

Re: What does the dsp meter tell you in details
1. Clean the contacts
2. Use Native reverb
3. Revise the cooling scheme
