SB 404
Re: SB 404
Ooof! I'm out of cards on this one. It just doesn't make sense. Have you tried a brand new project with only a midi in and audio output to eliminate any possible conflicts (although I don't know why there would be any)?
Re: SB 404
Ya it's weird, all the other synths and fx seem to be fine

Re: SB 404
I have a W7 64-bit PC and XITE 1 ans sb404 V2.
Got the same problem with sb404. If I change a preset, it will not load correct.
Only after reset by changing the samplingrate there is the correct preset working ...

Re: SB 404
I haven't tried changing the sample rate. Will do that later and report.

Re: SB 404
Could be this is a known problem with a workaround that may have been mentioned but this may help:

Re: SB 404
May be the core problem is the same. But copy the SB 404 brings no success, like copy the mds8 modul.

Re: SB 404
This issue is on xite. Not the pci cards. And the answer is to change samplerate back and forth in scope to apply the edits/changes.
@ Gary. Do you seriously have it working on xite no problems?
Has there been a fix? as via sonic core support (around 2013) it was confirmed that these (the mds8, step sequencers on synths like the sb404) bugs where known and should be fixed in the next release of scope on xite.

Love to find out what it is that means you don't experience the issue! Baffling!garyb wrote:i think the problem that many have is documented now...
Re: SB 404
Just reading through the latest threads on the forum and spotted a post from Liquid Edge about getting the Gateway device from Ocean Swift to work if assigned to dsp2.
http://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=34631
I just tried this and it works here as well, so I also tried assigning Gateway to dsp1 and that works as well. So I thought that it was worth trying SB404. When I assigned to dsp2 it doesn't work and I get an error notice saying that the Capacity limit of DSPs has been reached. If I then cancel that I get another error saying "The file you have attempted to load contains a configuration which does not match your hardware configuration", which I have not come across before. I then continue to get more errors about the capacity limit of DSPs.
However, I then tried loading SB404 on dsp1 and that works and allows SB404 Step Editor to respond to changes in real time.
So could this info be used by the coders at SC for them to look at those dsps and see if there is any relation to the Sequencer issues we have on XITE?

Re: SB 404
Yeah, surely they can get into the code and get the "sequencer" parts to load onto dsp 1 or 2 and the rest of the module on the other dsps.
Nice one for sharing sb404 working on dsp1!!!!

Re: SB 404
excellent detective work guys, we will look at this on our devices and also try to see if we can help sonic-core fix the sb404, the power of planet z comes through again!

Re: SB 404
I can't see any problem with SB404. I connect MIDI in and Analog Dest out and hear the thing if I press a Note > 48 (C4) (Running on DSP 18 xite-1).

Try changing the pattern. (Xite only)DragonSF wrote:I can't see any problem with SB404. I connect MIDI in and Analog Dest out and hear the thing if I press a Note > 48 (C4) (Running on DSP 18 xite-1).

Re: SB 404
Alas, On dsp 1 it doesn't work. As soon as you put the filter on it errors . It seems those dsps can only cope with assigning just "step" modules. They are there really just to deal with I/o.
Re: SB 404
You mean, changing to one of the existing patterns or create a new one?Liquid EDGE wrote:Try changing the pattern. (Xite only)DragonSF wrote:I can't see any problem with SB404. I connect MIDI in and Analog Dest out and hear the thing if I press a Note > 48 (C4) (Running on DSP 18 xite-1).

Either or just try editing the one already there. The steps.DragonSF wrote:You mean, changing to one of the existing patterns or create a new one?Liquid EDGE wrote:Try changing the pattern. Re: SB 404
Works on DSP 1!
Got an error message but closed it and it seems to work fine.
