It sounds very promising. This is a giant step in the right direction for developers and SC.

Most developers uses JUCE for the GUI handling (and many other things) so they only concentrate on the DSP part, so most developers should feel right at home with the JUCE part of Open Scope.

It will be interesting to see how control control we get in the new API.

awesome - just glad to see some activity with Scope. I'm not so interested in programming synths and stuff like that but am happy for all of us - can't wait to see what the new version is all about. :-)

It would have been so great, if I would have been able to trade in my existing scope PCI -6 SHARC- card in order to buy an XITE at a discount on this revolutionary day. This would ensure continuity of my 11 year old system and the investments made in it and would -for me- be the cherry on a truly revolutionary cake.

Why dream outloud....?
Send them an email and see what Holger says.
Personally I wish the old cards could be used still as extra MIDI and AES/EBU I/O's, or even more ADAT.
All of this 192k/96k stuff isn;t noticable to me during a live gig, but more I/O's is most certainly needed and noticed....

Good Luck on your offer...

hi brothers and sisters.
Here is the Luna user again.

I decided to go for the Scope 3 > 5.1 update and hope i can run one voice of minimax (prophet of John Bowen doesnt work).
Still watching out for a used Pulsar though.

Additionally i'd like to get me some DAS plugins.

I think of
DAS-LEGEND
Highend EQ Bundle
VINTAGE BUNDLE

What is really missing in my humble studio is a good preamp and/or channel strip. The thing we record is atm just male vocal. Currently with a Studio Projects mic in a Behringer mixer.
Additionally my Rhodes.

So im thinking if the channel strip DAS C350 is the right thing to go or if i should go for a SL9000.

Now the question is what is exactly included in 5.1, because i dont want to get something double or miss it.
Of course there is this overwiev
http://sonic-core.net/joomla.soniccore/ ... 21&lang=de

but doesnt tell me everything.
Are these 'enough'?
S|C Channelstrip EQ
S|C Channelstrip Dynamics
S|C Channelstrip SC-SL9000

or the DAS C350 or shoud i go for SL9000. Or is or even DAS-1610++

Is the SL9000 from DAS the same one included in 5.1?

Thank you very much!

@brunos
Pulsar for sale? Still?
Could we talk about it, quick?
So i could maybe avoid the Scope 5 update also.

Bravo, Sonic Core! All this looks great. Very impressive and ambitious plans for such a small company.
The new GUI and open-ness of it all looks like what Kyma by Symbolic-Sound should have looked like years ago!

I am very much looking forward to downloading 6!

Also, I too would be interested in trading in my Pulsar II rig for an XITE on this revolutionary day.

Caspers worries are pretty sound ...maybe just maybe preorders can be made today with a 10 day extension ... I dont need anything personally but ....
There is no Revolution if it doesnt serve the needs of those who dont have the means at hand

Holger Drenkelfort wrote:Dear SCOPE friends!

My best wishes for the year 2012:
Holger,- I have some questions.

Coming up w/ SCOPE 6, what´s the system requirements in opposite to SCOPE 5.1 ?
Will SCOPE 6 run on Win XP and w/ old cards (I have a 15DSP card) ...
Why are all the plugins, especially 3rd party ones, so cheap,- suddenly ?
Will they run on Scope 6 and new hardware,- I assume there will be new hardware soon.

What are the real world revolutionairy changes to expect as old Scope owners/users ?
Unusable cards and have to buy all hardware new ?

No offense, but I want to know before buying anything as blow out before all changes.

I recognized even Xite-1 and Xite-1D disappeared from the shop today,- so what´s up ?

best regards
