This is teriffic news and perhaps it will be the best manual for any Creamware/Scope release by far.
Good luck with the remainder, if you need an sdk/dp newbie to do any proof reading, then don't hesitate.

Thinking of the new sdk, although there will inevitably be some changes and updates I'd be surprised if many of the modules/components and construction techniques weren't the same or at least familiar. After all nearly all of the the old devices still work.

This will be a most worthy documentation

I have no time at the moment......it will get done at some time....it's only information that anyone can get hold of (no secrets !), but I have spent considerable time collecting it so far...then it needs sorting out! It WILL come eventually! :)

I have no idea what is included in the SDK 4.0, but Im just looking through my old backups and install discs - here's a extremely small part :

The first DP manual and examples (alot have been deleted because of size constrains) :
ManualScopeDP_OLD.rar
(7.99 MiB) Downloaded 369 times
Examples.rar
(6.76 MiB) Downloaded 345 times
A later manual regarding XTC :
ManualScope DP_XTC.zip
(4.04 MiB) Downloaded 295 times
Hopefully someone finds this 12 years old material usefull :D

Rough (VERY rough) release...this needs a LOT of work....I'm disappointed I couldn't spend more time on this as I was too busy.
It's in .odt format (Open Office).
It needs more posts adding, then sorting into sections, then further editing. I'm not sure about the worth of carrying on with this as SDK 5 will be out soon and Warp a bit back released those great docs.

The SDK 5.1 doesn't have any examples, documentation, etc.

Are there any good examples from a previous SDK, or that people use in general? (maybe synth, effects, insert, etc?)

That'd be a big help, as the only docs I found were for 4.0 SDK, and that talks about examples and demos that weren't included with the 5.1 SDK.

jks*,

You may have found these already, but scroll up to Warp69's post on 5/15/2011. There are some old Scope DP manuals, and a *.rar of examples. According to Warp's post, it's just a small selection of mdls and devs from what was available on the original distribution. The DP was the developer's platform that preceeded the release of the SDK, and was a significant investment, aimed at the developers who hoped to sell their devs.

Maybe Warp69, or another DP owner of old, can drop some more examples on the Z?

I wasn't a previous SDK user, but I don't think there are significant changes from 4.0 beyond getting 5.0 to work in the new OS environments and with Xite. I think all of the docs and downloads in this thread may be able to give a general overview. At least, I'm hoping!

Cheers,
Cory

Thanks, I was confused because they aren't .pro files as the manual asks for. When I try to open them, I get invalid keys, etc. But they do open anyway, eventually. I'll try to mess with them and see if I can re-save them in 5.1, and then see what happens.

Try importing your keyfile.v5, when the request comes up. I'm not running into any key requests, yet anyway. Still trying to figure out how it all works.
