Hi.
The mouse pointer in Scope doesn't change to the jack plug or scissors.
When routing stuff up, it changes to the crosshare when making the first selection but then just changes to an hour glass and stays as an hour glass untill the routing has been made.
I'm using windows xp and the latest version of Scope on a xite-1.
any settings in xp that i need to be aware of that could be stopping Scope change the grphics of the pointer?

Re: Mouse Pointer Graphics Issue
that sounds normal....
Re: Mouse Pointer Graphics Issue
Yup, all my Scope versions has been like that through out the years, so I guess it's "normal"
Re: Mouse Pointer Graphics Issue
AKAIK S|C removed the option to use Scope cursors in Scope v5 , but you can still force old pulsar fashion cursors (as I do) this way:
- Find an old Scope installation dir and look for the Cursors folder, copy that folder into the new installation folder in the same relative path/location.
- Enable old cursors in cset.ini copying and pasting the preference line from the old cset.ini
Good luck

Re: Mouse Pointer Graphics Issue
cool. would like to try. thing is i cleaned up my hd so no old installs. could you upload the files in there directories?
Re: Mouse Pointer Graphics Issue
extract the files at this path:
...\App\Application\Cursor then edit cset.ini to show like this:
[APPEARANCE]
StandardCursor=0
note: I've included also the old Pulsar wait icon, which is the one I use, if you prefer the Scope SFP just swap their names. (_Wait.ani <-> Wait.ani).
cheers

Re: Mouse Pointer Graphics Issue
Thanks man, really appreciated. Will got on with trying that out when i'm next at the studio.
at the others who say it's normal. It's never been like that for me on my older set ups (well it was like that once before but someone told me about some setting in windows and it was all fine), but now it's back when i upgraded to version 5 (for my pci cards) and also now with the xite-1. again still totally fuctional but a little anoying.

Re: Mouse Pointer Graphics Issue
I can't remember any of my Scope systems had a proper hour-glass cursor.
It pops up way too often and unless I'm routing something I just click(ed) somewhere to make it vanish.
Never minded, tho...
cheers, Tom
