Recently I've listend to a radio feature about Harald Bode (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harald_Bode), who was a pioneer in electronic music. He contributed several of his Moduls to Moog, among them the frequncy shifter.
The radio feature said that one of the most prominent uses of this device was in kraftwerks "numbers" where it was applied to the snare drum sound. And finally I knew how they did it! Almost my entire electronic hobbyist musican live, I've tried to reproduve this cool drum sound. Listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TlvNpIwTto&fmt=18
Anyone out there volunteering in building such a device? I guess that the "algorithm" could be found somewhere on the internet, because the internet knows everything and the truth
There's a VST called "ValhallaFreqEcho" (http://www.valhalladsp.com/plugins.html), though haven't used it alot, i guess it comes pretty close to the sound I'm looking for. But yet, it's no scope device
Thanks in adavance
Peter
