Prodyssey samples...

Come on Creamware... The thing is out now. Post a few audio samples of the Prodyssey, please.
I purchased the Minimax ASB last year, one minute after listening to the online samples... I could do the same for the Prodyssey
Alternatively, could someone record a few samples and put them online? Thanks!
Cheers,
Eric

I totally agree. It takes too long before the ASB devices are reviewed in the press, and as a musician it is mostly about how it sounds (followed by tweakability etc).
The device is currently being shipped and I would have thought alot of interest would be drummed up just by listening to it. No matter how flash it looks and how many buttons/sliders it has, I will not buy until I hear it.
In the UK ASB devices are not normally stocked so you cannot go to your local store and listen. You have to order at your store and then they order. I ordered my PRO-12 based on what it sounded like on the website and am keen to listen to the Prodessey to see if it anywhere near as good.

Perhaps they figure that you can go listen to the Prodyssy Scope samples in the meantime, since it's the same thing...

Guys, I made a Proddysey review page at a dutch synthsite.
Only dutch native speaking, but I posted some snippets of a Pro12 and Prodyssey there.
Here is the URL with my thread...

I know that. But since Creamware doesn't want to post samples, I'm asking here...On 2006-08-19 16:53, stardust wrote:
Gents, just to make you know.
Creamware has NO official support forum.
Planet Z is a USER Forum where the USERS try to support each other.
This means: If you want to address creamware you will have better results addressing CWA directly via phone or mail.
Here on Z you will not find any direct response to product questions recently.
Ali, AndreD and Ralf are simply posting a sort of sync messages to this user forum to use this channel for the press releases, marketing campaigns and some announcement when the mail support system has some difficulties or is suspended.
So try the direct way for your convenience.
Septic, Thanks! I will check these mp3s.
Have a great day,
Eric

The CreamWare staff has made a short demosong for the Prodyssey ASB yesterday. We hope that you like it. Comments are welcome.

That's a nice tune, although I think its a bit neutral. I'd like to hear what separates the Prodyssey from the other synths in CreamWares product line, or from any other synth for that matter. I didn't quite get the feeling that this couldn't be done by the Minimax or the Pro-12 for instance.
Maybe I have too high expectations on the Prodyssey since I'm not really sure how an Odyssey should sound. I have this idea but it might just be a fantasy...
I think I have to pick this one up on a refundable deal to try if I can get it to go where I'd wanna.

Thanks for that Anna, great starter for 10.
I really like the crunchy roboty sound in the background. That makes it different from the PRO-12 and Minimax. Reminds me of John Foxx in the Metamatic Album, and I know he loves his Oddessey.
Am also interested in what minimax type sounds it can do as it has the mini filter. I have the PRO-12, can I use this a minimax with balls?
The website talks about sci-fi/sfx type noises etc, I want to hear those. I want to know what sounds make this bit of kit unique that my other gear cannot do.
As someone else said, stick that S&H on and stick that through both filter types. Let me hear it bubble and squeak.
I am so impressed with my PRO-12, I think it wants a friend.

Four short examples by my friend Axel Jungkunst from Bielefeld, Germany. We both like the music of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze from the 70s. Some additional Mellotron samples in number one.

The last one reminds me of Schulze's <i>Velvet Voyage</i> (<i>Mirage</i> album).
