There's a tricky problem when you control the faders of the STM Mixers: at some point you want to move to a higher resolution than 7bits.

Therefor you might start turning the knob called 'modulation range'... BUT: unfortunately by doing so the behaviour of respondence is not easily predictable. This means you mess up your mix if you dont care.

My question is if anybody could find out how the mapping is done and what I have to do to control the behaviour.

If nobody knows an advice I can only give the hint: adjust this knob carefully _before_ beginning a mixing session; and then never touch it again.

ps. I think these mixers are underestimated... think of a Sony's DMX-R100. The STM's can do pretty well + this uncredible routing possibilities the SFP provides. And I never had problems with instability since version 3.1c.
