Does anyone know how to get that hard, grinding synced oscillator sound? I don't mean the wimpy soft little whiney sync, I mean the big abrasive analog Roland-style sync, or early monophonic style sync from the Korg MonoPoly or SC ProOne.

I've tried the usual Master/Slave sync and twiddling the tuning knobs, but the effect is so slight that it's hardly worth bothering. On some other patches I've noticed people seem to be attempting to get the effect by using distortion, but that's not the same.

Am I missing something?

Cheers,

No ! Sounds like the go. Do you mean a full ADSR pitch envelope mod or just an LFO ? I might try both and report back.

Thanks Fra. (Sorry I couldn't help you on your LFO question earlier).

well use a mix 4 module -connect in that 2 adsr envelopes and 2 lfo. then connect the mixer out to a pitch modifier mod in and the pitch modifiers freq out to the slave 's osc frequensy-

Right again. I tried an ADSR and lfo and got a nice, nasty result. I'll try to step up to your mix4 idea next...
