a tap tempo delay is just several short delays at times that are nice divisions of the tempo with pan controls.

there's a pattern delay in Scope...

Correct, I meant a Delay that I could actually Tap the tempo to since I only need to get an approximation....

SDK - well, in that case, first question developer might ask ....

What exactly do you want to tap ?

..... a mouse button....or a touch screen .... or a pedal ?

Hmmm, I think a sawtooth(ramp) LFO set at the right rate to match scope frequency signals vs. time, and a note on signal to both capture the LFO into a sample/hold, and also hard sync reset the LFO...if you were trying to get midi clock it is definitely anSDK job, but control of delay via frequency signal is doable in modular.

A filter on the sample/hold output could give you averaging, too.

If you use ModIV with a clock from the DAW, you can use the modIV clock VST with the special module, and you'll get a frequency signal output. Then just do tap tempo in the DAW as you always do.

There ya' go. I will now consult the manual for Bidule and see if this is do-able.
I could always store bpm as a preset too, butin accordance to the crowd reaction, alcohol and drugs consumed by players, the bpm varies....

You could map tempo to pitch bend, then as patrons get drunk, bend the tempo up or down to exaggerate the effect of the intoxicant, depending on whether it's speed or booze. If it's roofies or other combos, you could add in CCx2
