Just made my first BCF-2000 Patch using Sharc's BCModular stuff.
Finally decided to grow a brain and try using this stuff, can't believe I only dabbled
before and didn't really dig in.
I like the colors, the way the connectors are colored over when wires aren't exposed, makes connection troubleshooting a breeze.
Really like the way you can name every module to suit your own needs.
Really great stuff, just in case you guys ever wanted to break down and get a Behringer BCF-2000, or BCR-2000.

Re: BCModular
It just looks like and pairs easily with the BCR2000 or BCF2000. But everyone should know, that everything works 100% with any other MIDI controller, too.
BCModular also has a lot of modules that are similar to stock modules, but are very light in terms of space, and expose controls for patching that could only be accessed via knobs before. But they also add some incredible power that doesn't exist at all: hierarchical modular patches (via CLM and the Patch Loader, you can load devices via program change!), many bidirectional controls via the pipes, new sample and additive oscillators, as well as some stuff like all-pass filters, used as building blocks in almost every reverb and spacial effect..
Both the BCModular modules and devices, and the CWModular.org collection should be the first things anyone downloads and adds to their modular arsenal.

Re: BCModular
What's nice is I finally learned my way around, and this is a template
for a Modular synth, while Circuit Level Modules carry the Scope
hardware and software I/Os. My project window is a BCM 32ch Source
Module, then MIDI Out to BCF Patch, and B2003, and 32 channel mixer,
then a BCM Desitination 32 ch patch.
Nice clean window, and the combination of BCM soft with hardware
ensures I need no extra BCF 2000 presets, or even access the other
3 x groups of encoders.

Re: BCModular
Good stuff! Will get my head into this some more even though I gave away my bcr2000 not too long ago

Great, I like this!
Now tying to find some time to investigate this awesome modules!

Re: BCModular
Jimmy - Do you see better/different DSP placement using the Modular IV as a "replacement" for scope?
It seemed to me that ModIV could lock down to DSPs nicely in XITE. Maybe throwing more into Modulars can help keep a project reliably reloading in a precise fashion.

Re: BCModular
Exactly.
I can always use more Modular patches instead of these massive beasts
like the Pearlman Odyssey shown below. But making a big patch is fine
as long as you assign the shell to DSP 7, then clear the setting immediately
after that.
Once I hit 10 voices it asks to optimise, then I keep adding 2 at a time
until I hit 16. But this patch only needs 12 voices, Unison Voice @ 2 for
a mighty 6 voice synth. I then can use the expression pedal with a SpaceF
CC2x2 attached to the Unison Detune knob. Rocking back and forth on Pads
is really cool as the motion is similar to the Eventide HD5000 Ultra with
velocity control. I simply substitute the db level with Expression CC #93
from the BCF 2000.
I'm going to town with Modular these days. I was stuck in a rut, then decided
to grow a brain and learn the BCM and BCF stuff. Now life is worth living again.....
