connecting something to the clock input of the gate seq

Post by zoharar »

can i connect anything else but the midi clock or the clock divider to the gate sequencer?
im trying to emulate the clock somehow so it can be modulated...

Hi

I have a bit of bad conscience as I was to answer your former post as well but totally forgot about it. This is a bit of a hunch to get you going on both posts.

If you want to modulate the gate frequency, what you can do is have a gate sequencer tempo synced by freq, then insert a pitch modulator between the freq generator and the gate seq. Then you can modulate the freq by lfo or similar.

I'm at work now so i cant post any examples, but if you haven't got them yet i suggest you get the free modules from www.cwmodular.org .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

i knew it was worth to wait!
thank you!!!

but still i didnt understand.
are you talking about a special module from CW?

every gate is tempo synced by the midi clock. but i want it to be modulated by an lfo (or to modulate the clock by lfo). the sync of the gate seq is for some other seq option, not for slave syncing.

can you show an example?

thanks again
