Dual CC Controls Needed

Post by dawman »

I have created a fantastic MutliFX patch but before I share it I need a way to assign pairs of controllers to control depth and rate from a single hardware controller.
I thought this was possible inside of Modular but I am not having success.
I base the Delay off of the Tape Delay which is really a fantastic sounding module.
All other Scope effects can be inserted such as various BBII Filters and additional Delays.
But using the Tape Delay and the Tape Delay short, and Bucket Brigade I am really stoked about the sound and variations I am getting.

Sometimes I wonder where my brain is.
I ended up creating a pair of Modular 4 patches, each one w/ a Tape Delay.
I simply used the same assingments and just took 2 MIDI signals "y'd" from the Source.

Out of SpaceF mixer Left goes to Mod 4 patch 1, SpaceF mixer Right goes to Mod 4 patch 2.
I really like the zipper free sound of the Tape Delay.
Now I have the phase aligned sound I like.
The Tape Delay is an amazing effect and S|C needs to share how they created this zipper free.
It acts exactly like a Tape effect should, and even better is the
way they nailed the sound.
UAD would charge an arm and a leg for this, but they do have a
cool picture of a Studer probably which leaves one with the impression
that they own a nice 2" Tape deck.

Yeah but I bet that studer doesnt have the pitch bend range of our tape echo :) altho thier space echo is probably pretty good with that.
