Tape-Delay video

Post by the_mind_as_music »

Hi there all,

Was in the middle of exploring the tape-delay module when I saw the other thread, sort of rushed to get the video finished, but this is some of the things I was doing.

A lot of the modules in the Scope platform are my favourites, but the tape-delay is one of my special favourites!

If you fancy a listen,

the video is on YouTube here:

Robert; That is very cool. 8)
Have you had any problems with the Tape Delay Module?
Can you post your specs for reference (Computer, OS, PCI etc)

Thanks for posting stuff like that.

Thanks for your comments:

I ran up CPU-Z and here's some of the results:

Processor: AMD FX-8350 - socket AM3+ (942)

Mainboard: ASUSteK M5A78L LE
chipset: AMD 780G
southbridge: AMD SB700
LPCIO: ITE IT8728
BIOS: American Megatrends inc. 1601 - 12/07/2012 [!]
PCI-Express

Memory: DDR3 16gb - 2209.7Mhz

Running Windows 7 x64 and Scope 5.1

Also, 2 x 6 sharc dsp cards

All the things I've done and posted, I have never used more than about half on the DSP Monitor

And, as to the main point, never had any trouble with the Tape Delays.

Have had a few problems, but none related to the delays.

If you need any more info, just let me know.

Yours,
Robert

Thanks Robert. Just trying to get some info on why the Tape Delay works on some systems but not others.
Just a quick question, did you just install the Mod IV or did you update any of the Tape Delay files after the install?

Should I make a videos section in the parent site for this forum?

maybe, but what would be good is if Robert gave us a copy of his tape delay modules and the accompanying .sys files. :)

Hi All,

Here are my Tape Delay files that are installed on my system, I have a recollection that these were downloaded from Planetz.

In fact, I have found a bunch of files that might have been them, It includes some sort of driver.

I have included both here.

if there are any files that are 'missing' I'll see if I can find them,

Yours Sincerely,
Robert

Is your system 64 bits ? It estonishing you don't have any issue. I'd like to know !

Which .sys files are in your Scope sys folder the Jimmy's ones (in which the sys files seem different : older and not the same weight !) or the ones in 'tapedelay.7z' ?

Thanks for the info !

Yes, its Windows 7 x64, also, the files in the .zip 'TapeDelay files' are the ones in my system.

Just checked to see if the midi controller function works and that seems to be OK.

I've done another Tape-Delay video above,

Have a listen!

Well, based on the current progression, give it another year or 10 and it might be fixed :)
