Hi Fernando,
what exactly are you looking for?
Just the breakout cable or an I/O plate with breakout cable?
The I/O plate can only be used with a Pulsar 2 card as far as I know.
And if you're just looking for the breakout cable you have to get one that matches your card, i. e. you can't use the XLR version if your card was made for the RCA one and vice versa!

There are several threads here where it's being said that the cable whips are not interchangeable due to the different signal levels.
See here for example:
http://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=18154

http://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic. ... 42#p304742

So, I'd stay safe and use the matching cable whip! :)

Maybe you should ask Gary if there's a risk to damage the card by using the wrong cable... better safe than sorry! ;)

no risk of damage that i know of....
but there's also no advantage over using the right cable with an adapter.
changing the cable whip won't balance the signal, nor will it change the level from consumer to pro or vice versa.

you really DO need to use the correct cable with the i/o plate that you have.

well yeah you might get "wrong" levels but that is probably the only issue. midi and digital i/o should be no problem for sure. and also the level issues, not that big of a deal for most operations i guess, no?

well, the only advantage to using the XLR whip is that the connectors allow a balanced, pro-level signal. the problem is that the Plus Plate has an extra IC to balance the signal, so the XLR connection won't be balanced and the level will be super, super low for any hardware that has an XLR input. there is ZERO, absolutely no advantage to the XLR over RCA in that case. in fact, it's the opposite. you'll need WAY more gain to get the levels up to where they should be and that will add noise. an XLR to RCA adapter will do the same job as a new whip, basically nothing.

you need the whip that matches the plate.

my guess is that you'll need to make one.

dante posted the needed info on his site:
http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_15/dsub_mst.htm

he has XLR and RCA versions posted with pinouts.
