Hello!

Do you have any STDM cables?
I would need 3 more cables if I buy this card.

Which IO options does it have; Classic, Z-link, XLR, etc?

As I understand it - one cable will do the trick.

If not, you can easily make the STDM-cables yourself. There's a post around here on PlanetZ somehere that describes how to do it.

This was my obsession about two summers ago. I tried all sorts of combinations, starting with one STDM cable right in the center of the edge connectors on all the boards (the 3rd one in), which is most often recommended, to using 5 STDM cables for all 5 connectors, and then everything else in between. I'm a Scope synth guy. What I found with my three 14 DSP boards is two STDM cables on the first two connectors worked the best. Using 5 STDM cables for all 5 connectors was sort of weird and jittery. I didn't like it at all.

Thanks for the replies guys, this is all new to me.

Creamware must have had something else in mind when they designed the 5 connectors, or maybe they are meant to function as backups.

the info for S/TDM cables is both on Scoperise and here in PZ already. i provided links in the other post.

so there is redundancy built into the cards. that's part of why they're still useful even though some of them are nearing 20 years old.
