sorry paul, i missed your post two days ago.
um, no i won't/can't do that.
i am having finals this week and on vacation next.
all of the files (drums, bass, and perc) are edited to loop, and are numbered to each-other for reference - you *can* just drop into a sequencer with tempo set @ 134bpm - shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. especially if you use ACID it will be very easy. it will probably take less time than downloading the full tracks would have.

I played both guitar and keys.
I approached the project in much the same way I believe Nestor did, a collage of parts. I wanted to do all keys and let Maket do all the guitars but some parts were blatantly screaming "Guitar!"( sorry, Maket)

Hey, I don't think my parts are the be-all and end-all of this tune so, please, feel free to flush whatever and/or change some stuff.

I'm sure Ken will be itching to do a solo on the funky section.

Here's the Text file I attached (while you wait):

Here we go:
I numbered all the Wav files with the bar number where they should go.

I tried not to put any effects on these tracks
except for one guitar that was just screaming for some.

Please let me know if I have to redo any of my takes.

Paul

P.S.: 44 Mbs (ouch)
Are we listening?..

I had a thought just now while I was uploading. This project can be done using WavePlayers in Pulsar, right? So we could run these files by all you spectators out there once we're done and you all could try to remix the tune as you please.

What do you think?

I'm putting everything together right now. Maybe I should do a fast "everything together" track so it's easier for Maket to work on the melody. tell ya if anything gets done.

You're speaking to me Paul!!! Great work. I think I'll take the funk part. Goh, you didn't have to make it so.. funk heh
The entire funk section is a bit shakey on timing though.

I just added some conga parts. This is starting to sound like a live performance! Great djbembe sounds algo.

Nestor, I think you need to retake the slap bass part, the groove shifts around too much. Tell me if you can do it, if not, I'll try best to make up for it.

i knew that funk part was going to be problem on all fronts. I just wanted to throw that guitar idea up(eventhough I played it quite badly)

Uh...Anybody know how to use ReCycle?

 good - I'm glad that someone with a music education background thinks the timing on the bass on the funk part is off. I thought so, but then again, maybe it was just me cuz I don't know no stinkin' theory.
thx for the props on the djembe. can't wait to hear the congas - this is getting exciting!

Paul - yes, recycle is your friend! it is really easy to use. v2 is WAY better than v1.x - there is a tutorial that comes with the program, although it is self explanatory really. Are ya 'cheatin' the timing on your parts
