thanks garyb for the replies !
still learning, that's why i like scope so much, never ends
i'd like to know little more about sidechaining, which modules/devices should i use ?
i saw one device here, sc insert, is this for what i'm looking for ?
maybe also project picture, for example ? would be very happy
Mastering and mixing
Re: Mastering and mixing
side-chaining is mostly something used on a compressor. the idea is to have another signal control the action of an effect other than the signal being affected.
it's a very useful technique, but not for very many different situations. it's something that gets used in a limited fashion. it's not something that is a basic skill(even though it's stupidly easy, just assign the signal of choice to the side-chain input).

yea, i believegaryb wrote:even though it's stupidly easy
still, didn't master that.
this is also ducker device ?
Re: Mastering and mixing
yep, side-chained compressor can be a ducker.
Re: Mastering and mixing
primarily, in my case, would be useful for kick + bass.
Re: Mastering and mixing
something like this ?
it's a simple project for testing.
Prisma synth - bass sound (mono) to ducker and inside ducker out from Kick Me (out GraphL).

Re: Mastering and mixing
sure. in this case the ducker is controller by the kickMe 2.
Re: Mastering and mixing
What a great idea for ducking.
Can’t wait to try that my SE-02s
Been using hardware ducking on the TC Fireworx and it’s great on vocals.
Should be a good effect for stripping away frequencies.
