Exporting key file.

Post by Liquid EDGE »

Maybe I’m being a dumb ass.
I only go to my studio about twice a week at the moment so can’t have a look now.

But can you export a key file of all the registered plug ins etc?

You can use "Save Recovery Files" in the Settings window for that (it's on the Global tab).

the file is named allkeys.skf and resides in the directory 'Your Scope folder'/App/Bin
it's a regular textfile, so you could even store it (printed) on a sheet of paper ;)

Do you still have "allkeys.skf"? Since version 5 it's actually "keyfile.v5".

yes, I still run Scope 4 on XP (off the net) and have no version 5 keys for some old devices.
One of them happens to be Solaris... :D
(so sacrifice Mod IV for this, for which I lack the time anyway)
