I have no doubt, Holger D. is smart and has a strong vision... that is frustrating when you see all that crap in the market (I remember my first presonus gear ...) and the great potential (still !) o Scope platform. Cross fingers...

I really understand what you did, Bill. But I believe I'm unable to leave Scope and less leave my Xite-1. I'll allways use it, even as it is now. And I can buy other product from developer who looks forward to what is new and future (in a negative way !).
I love to experiment in music and I think Scope is an invitation for that. Even if there is no new Scope product, I can still experiment endlessly with Scope, modular, SDK. I believe Scope has been done for music producer who like to experiment, to try new things, to build there own effect processor and that's what I try to do. Modular allow me to build audio & midi together effect processor : I can add envelope to the fantastic VST Louge lizard piano : increase or decrease its tremolo depth on each note, for instance. And without latency and with Usamo & Silent way, with absolutely perfect timing. I guess that would be possible with Reaktor but I feel much more easy with Modular, especialy since BCmodular is here. I can show how to do if anyone wants.
What is a pity, is that it is the others developers / company who allow me to finaly get rid of midi jitter and for the moment, more precisly since 7 years (when I bought my Xite) nothing really new has been done by S|C, only third part developers... STOP ! I'm NOT saying it's negative, I'm saying S|C looks moribund and fortunatelly third part developers are active !

I just wish S|C keeps alive. I don't know, maybe someone does, here, how many person still work at S|C , except Holger and Gary for key. I just hope Holger is not alone to build Scope 6 code ! Otherwise, only my grandson will know it.
As already said a lot of time, money is the crucial problem and I don't know how people from S|C can live without ; that's why I believe they need to sale products and for saling products, potentials customer must know those product are avaible -> marketing. That is so obvious to me that I don't understand there is a debat about that.

PS : was that post not too negative ? Am I inside the right line and didn't crosse the red one ? Don't hesistate to tell me if I'm too negative, I'll go to confess my sin right away ; thank you.

At the moment the PC technology seems to standstill because of the f##king mobile phone technology will rise to a good substitute for the pc. That's good and bad.
Okay the Stasi apparatus of the government loves to use this handy shit as a watchtower, nice! But a terrorist will not care.

The scope platform is a complete and round solution for me. I think if I could live 800 years more, it would not be possible to discover everything. There are no changes really necessary!

For myself, there is no reason to get a better version 6. I think I'm not alone here.

Maybe Holger says, the work is done. It is perfect enough. We gave you the key to take it in your hand to customize it your self.

And Faxi, DNA and some others take there chance to help some users and musicians but not technically engineers with there Plugins.

Maybe Holger stopped at the right moment before it will destroy itself.
Like eBay did, eBay was a great platform, but more and more money destroyed the today's completely rotten platform. Today it is a normal fucked up bad online shop. Nothing special anymore. Nobody talking about it. Amazon is bigger today!

I think the Native platform's marketing and low-quality beginning and all of its extremely frequent new releases of plugins and DAW updates have convinced many people that they need new tools everytime new is released. Whenever new plugins are released somehow their older tools don't look cool and pretty anymore and they go chasing after the new obsessively and endlessly. SCOPE doesn't have frequent new releases thus some people who have been brainwashed into believing new automatically means better look at SCOPE and see something wrong with it. SCOPE DRAMATICALLY reduced my GAS problems and because of SCOPE I don't feel so desparate to buy a new Native plugin of good quality and I now make a lot smarter purchases (usually the Native plugin doesn't sound better than my best SCOPE plugins thus there is no desperation for them plus I'm just more secure with my tools now as SCOPE was truly professional sounding since I first bought it).

Chasing after the new/latest-and-greatest is what SCOPE took me away from mostly. That chase is endless and one is never truly satisfied. Better to just get a great set of tools one trusts and be done with it. Apple, Microsoft, fast releasing Native plugins, etc has convinced many people that constantly buying new is improving their music from better tools and also something cool and entertaining to do like joining a country-club or something. This endless chase after the 'new' in many cases is connected with internet-addiction as well and really is a sign that something is wrong with how things are now in this Computer-Music-Age and NOT true pursuit or acquisition of true advancements/improvements with tools generally. A sad state of affairs, especially when really good companies like SonicCore which have great products like SCOPE suffer cause they don't frequently release 'new versions'.

Sounddesigner, you're with me 100%. Some people keep there Hardware stuff and don't change it. Why? They use it and have a relationship with there equipment. AND they make MUSIK not trying and buying new stuff! They concentrate on one thing!

And Scope is like Hardware!
