Bus and AUX Switching For SideChaining

Post by dawman »

I have forgotten what the routing possibilities are for old Compressors.
But what I want to do is somehow use a SideChaining Compressor to help me keep my Leads blending with my Comps/chords when soloing.

Is there a way to insert a Compressor and Bus routing set up, so I can switch around things with different channels and Busses so MIDI CC#s can change the routings so whatever Lead I want it can go through a Compressor (2 Channels) and the chords/comps can have the other 2 channels...?

Ankyu

I am using the STM 2448X and have the DAS AI Comp.

Here's the solution.
Naturally SALs PRJ Preset List device is the only Snapshot Device we have.
Nobody knows it's value more than I.
Already using this to make XITE-1 a MIDI Patch Bay Filter, I tried using it with the Bus Page.

Then by using BUS 1/2 and BUS 3/4, put the instrument(s) needed os BUS 3/4. Voila....
I can save presets for each Instrument I need Soloing on, and the Sidechain feature of DAS AI Comp
handles all of the chores needed perfectly.

Thanks again SUR Audio Labs (SAL) for this deadly capability, which often out does hardware.
Now I know I can snapshot STM AUX, BUS, SOLO, MUTE, anything, even the internal FX Settings.
THis is really sick...
