It appears that Microsoft is pushing for Windows 10 support of Thunderbolt. They have released info for developers to set up drivers which would access the PCI Express bus.

It would be nice if XITE were connectable to Thunderbolt ports in the future.
Not saying anything, just saying.

Re: Windows 10 support for Thunderbolt
I've connected the Xite via Thunderbolt to my Mac Mini using a Thunderbolt ExpressCard Adapter from Sonnet. Maybe it will work with Windows 10, too.
Re: Windows 10 support for Thunderbolt
of course it will work for Win10.
why is everyone so excited about Thunderbolt? it is really just another PCIe connection. i worked the NAMM show for Ferrofish. Ferrofish is distributed by the same folks who distribute RME. RME doesn't even have a Thunderbolt interface and the reason is that USB2.0 works better than Thunderbolt. this info came from the tech who writes driver code, not just salesmen. there's always a disconnect between specifications and real world performance.

Re: Windows 10 support for Thunderbolt
Because Thunderbolt might be an interface for the future if you want to run your SonicCore Xite on a laptop instead of tower PC.
I know you disagree and don't see a reason for it and such, nevertheless I'd like a "decent" option to go laptop + XITE

Re: Windows 10 support for Thunderbolt
don't you see the adapter above?
Expresscard and Thunderbolt are all PCIe.

Yes, I see it, but I don't call it decent.
Re: Windows 10 support for Thunderbolt
really? it works as it should.
Re: Windows 10 support for Thunderbolt
This solution worked too when nothing else was available:

I'd rather see Scope 6 or a bug fix for Scope 5.1 though, than a thunderbolt solution for the XITE.

Re: Windows 10 support for Thunderbolt
there's a big difference between a gassifier and the expresscard to thunderbolt adapter.
by the way, people still use gassifiers to run their cars in some rural areas where there's a lot of wood and not much money for gasoline.
Re: Windows 10 support for Thunderbolt
I have never seen, nor do I ever expect to see a Cardbus slot on any of these thin and light touch laptops like my beloved Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, but I can totally foresee a near-future version or similar device with a Thunderbolt port.
