Hi,
I've put the word clock card into the computer and connected it via the ribbon cable [10 pin] - Will the card show somewhere on the system? - There are no other connections yet but maybe it is registered somewhere?
Are any drivers needed? - or module in project?
Wordclock card
Re: Wordclock card
the only place you will see it is in the samplerate window. you'll see an option to sync to BNC.
Re: Wordclock card
Presumably then Garyb if the word clock card was not connected there would be "no option" in the sample rate window?-garyb wrote:the only place you will see it is in the samplerate window. you'll see an option to sync to BNC.
I'll check it out later on - thanks
Re: Wordclock card
yep.
Re: Wordclock card
Thats good to know as I've been a bit worried whether the sync card would be working or not as its old tech etc.... and it can be determined if it is working by having the option available in the sample rate window to sync to..... -garyb wrote:yep.
Re: Wordclock card
Looking now in the Samplerate settings window-there are two PCI cards attached -
1.Scope Pro -
2.Pulsar 2
I don't see any BNC in the options to sync to
Under Pulsar 2 there are two options for src 6 & src 7
No specific modules have been added to the project window
EDIT: Did a Google search "<Wordclock Src.>" - There was a reference to Scope Pulsar 2 with an Spirit mixer I've just copied the text in bold - This must be it? - It shows the BNC card is working right?
EDIT again - - The sync card is connected to Pulsar 2 , hence the src 6 & 7 reference in sample rate window under pulsar 2-
I'm pretty sure this is it - it must be - just a confirmation off the gurus would be nice to confirm

Re: Wordclock card
yes, that should be it.
Re: Wordclock card
Some confusion on my part for not knowing this - I was looking for BNC - instead I see "src6" & "src7" - There will be more questions later on but knowing that the card is working and operational is important -garyb wrote:yes, that should be it.
Is src6 and src7 a reference to the two physical connectors on the sync card?-
Re: Wordclock card
yeah, i think src6 is BNC and src7 is the ADAT 9 pin connector...
