WIndows 10

Post by emotive »

Hi,

I just installed Scope on Windows 10 and it did not require me to do anything special it simply installed :)

In the past I have had to disable driver signing albeit temporarily I believe but this time I needed only to install and authorize.

No question really but if this is expected behavior then it is very pleasing.

Installed C7, and it picked up the driver, all the i/o was present in devices and I did a quick playback of some MIDI/VST and it worked fine.

UAD no issues there either so I now have a hardware console, VST and DSP mixing.

Cheers

Good to know that it works! But I will not upgrade from 7, no matter how good Win 10 is.

I'm on 64 bit. Pretty much everything works except for anything that uses WAV files as oscillators.

No, I'm on Windows 7 and the STS samplers use WAVs so they don't work

with win10, you must first restart two services, "Windows Audio" and "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder".

go to Run and type "services.msc". find the two services on the list and right click and choose "restart". wave drivers will work after.

Thanks for all the replies!

So if I am using 64 bit, I cannot use the mastering tools?

The compressors work fine in 64 bit! You'll be fine. Just get an old outboard sampler for sampling :D

Hi,

So can I import 32 bit float wav files and master them in Scope?

I got the 99 euro software deal to use with 3x 6DSP cards.

I would consider Xite but I'm not in a country where it is presently sold and I'd be wanting to use it with a 64 bit OS if possible.

yes, of course.
the bit-depth of the audio file is not related to the 32 or 64bit operating system. two completely different things...

Hi garyb,

Just wondering then what I might import a file into.

I tried STS, and while the GUI's appeared and I could load a preset, there didn't seem a place to import any file.

Cheers
