Zlink or ADAT?

Post by tlaskows »

What is the preferred method of connecting an A16 Ultra to Scope PCI?

I've been using optical, but the cables sometimes come loose (cheap cables?).

I've got plenty of ADAT connections (1 ADAT plate, 1 classic plate, and 1 Zlink plate)...

I don't need many inputs, BTW. I got rid of most of my hardware synths cause the Scope's are so much better.

I need about 6 analog input.

Thanks!

Since high-sample rates are not an issue for you, it's your choice. I use optical whenever I can but Z-Link is digital too. Here's the original Scope PDF on connections:

Thanks.

Very good and easy to follow document. I may just stick with optical. It's been behaving fine lately.
