I gave it a try and it didn't work, but I could have done it wrong. I get a rapi.dll error.
Does anybody actually tried XTC mode on the 64 bits RC ?
To apply the board's moto (and to avoid jokes ala "sooooon" :D ) I'm going to ask to SonicCore.

I have lots of XTC sessions where stupidly (or by lazyness) I haven't exported the audio track by track. Since I've now split the 3 boards setup on two machines, I have missing synths on one Daw (Sfp mode 64 bits) and missing plugs on the other one... (XTC/SFP mode on Xp 32)

I'll report when I'll get some news from the dev.

the rapi.dll error is old. it is related to another piece of software that has nothing to do with a DAW that also has the filename "rapi.dll"...

Thanks Gary, but I'm wondering if it's the same error I encounter. I applied the fix seen on this board for sure (replacing the system32's rapi.dll by the one from Scope), it didn't work.

well....
i tried. maybe there is no xtc in 64bit right now, just like there's no rewire for reason users. 64bit is certainly short of "mature" at this point from any software point of view.

And...Thanks for trying !
Yes, maturity takes time ! But I'm slowly but surely getting there.... :-D

On a side note, I'm so delighted we got the 64 bit drivers (and working brilliantly that is) that you won't see me begging or getting red in the face for a while here !

All we need is love.

Well, I just installed RC2, XTC still doesn't work (still the rapi entry point link error).
Anybody tried the RC2 with XTC yet ?

I get rapi.dll error too. But i have time for experiment and reinstal windows without mobile device service (rapi library from it)
XTC is working, (x32 host only) but allow to load 6-7 plugins only. Use MultiFX allow to load a little more plugins.
While we can not say that all is well.

Thanks Tjsound ! I've tried all sort of things including deregistering the system 32 rapi.dll etc... Nada.
Hope you'll get it to work and share the (positive or negative) results.

SonicCore support say:

Use MulitFX modules, if you need more than one Scope effect in the signal chain.
If not too much communication lines are waisted.

For XITE we have to make it possible to choose single DSPs
for the loaded plugins. XTC mode is not that effective as the
normal use of Scope.

hi

for me xtc mode is working
Win 7 64Bit
Latest 64 Bit Drivers (RC2)
reaper 32 bit

i got no errors (e.g dll erros or so on )
i just followed the install description and it works after installation
the only problem i got was that that repaer did not know the new dll's
rescan of the plugin folder dosn't help but clear reaper cache and rescan helps because reaper found all dlls on first start where i was not in xtc mode
so far so good :)
but i tested only ~1 hour and i got some problems

- i can not set synth voices to 0 in xtc mode just 1-16 ... wuahhhh .. i will free the dsp resources after recording* but i will not unload and load the plugin because i lose my settings without preset storing .....
- i can not record* (like freeze in cubase) synth/effect outputs (record to strem item or record single track wont wokr in repaer .. i only receive wav's with lot of noise, sounds like a feedback
lg widy

i will not unlod the

Thanks very much Widy, now I know it's my setup. Don't know what to do next unless reinstalling windows from scratch (ouch).
Cheers,

hi

ok i found a solution for the voice setup
i can switch to bypass-offline in repaer to unload / load plugins without losing settings ..offline is the solution ..;)

but how can i easly record (like freez in cubse) a sonic core plugin
- apply track fx on selected item wont work (result silent wav file )
- render selected track as steam track wont work ( result silent wav file )
- render project with just one track with a scope synth ( result silent wav )

the only solution i found right now:
-to create a second track
-send track with synth 1/2 to the 2. track 1/2 and play and press record with 2. track selected
but this not realy a easy workflow

i just wont a shortcut to render a selected item .. like usual with vst synths

ps:
to much modulation on parameters kill the xtc mode
just tried cut off of a synth modulated by a reaper lfo ......
2 seconds later no response of reaper

of course, Reaper and all the plugins running in it will be 32bit, no 64bit advantage there....

I can't get the generated LFO's in Reaper to work very well either.
A Modular patch using the Modular dll. has much more control and flexibility.
You can make a custom one or use at0m's LFO2MIDI patch.

Update : I got it working without reinstalling windows.
GaryB was spot on about the known rapi.dll (active sync) problem.
What gave me trouble (and that is new in a 64 bit setup) is the syswow64 folder. It has it's own RAPI.dll !

So for any future reference, in case somebody gets this problem, in a 64 bit XTC install, don't forget to rename syswow64's rapi.dll as well.
Prior to rename the rapi.dll, you have to type in a command prompt :
c:/windows/system32/regsvr32 /u rapi.dll
c:/windows/syswow64/regsvr32 /u rapi.dll
If your still not able to rename it, you have to take ownership of the dll.

hi
i got one big problem with midi loops in xtc mode :(

setup;
-short loop E.e 4 1/4 notes in one loop
-loaded SC Synth with 1 voice

if i play and loop this i got:
- the first note of the loop always not in time (stucking) and
- and sometimes i hear also crackle noise at the begin of the loop

i tried this also in normal scope mode:
-same loop and send midi notes to scope synth
-Scope Synth to analog out of scope
(simple setup :)
but in this case the loop sounds like it should

i tried (since 2 days) every possible setup
different Ulli settings , different Synths , different Asio drivers in xtc project , different settings in reaper with asio, timing buffers and so on (i tried almost all combinations right now :) .. no result

any one else have this problem in xtc mode and maybe with other sequences
i use reaper (but not latest version .. i thing its 3.5 or so)
use Scope 64 Bit RC 2

....

try JS CC-Midi Rider (or so )
there is a option (second last slider) to update midi events per beat
if u reduce to 32 or 16 u can use more lfo in reaper to control more scope parameters otherwise 512 updates send per beat ..wuhhhh... its nice to see how many midi events scope receices after stopping playback :)

but for each control u need an own midi cc rider ....

ps: no one has looping problems in xtc mode with Version 5.1 :( .. im wondering
but now i use realinserts in reaper, i got it to work after 1 week testing .... but i need the old buggy vst compatibility mode during open the realinsert (right click on the vst effect before open ) .. otherwise i got a latzency drift on recording or looping .....
