SPECTRAL BALANCE CONTROL

Post by ugozzz »

Nobody talk about new S|C Plugin "Spectral Balance Control".
What do you think about it?
I like it very much. Easy and very efficacious.

Bye....

2 x Pulsar + 1 x Scope= 27 DSP
2 x S|C 6 DSP-System

Surely, it is not very new at all.

I have used it at times.

Why don't you tell us how you use it?

I thought it was from the new scope 5.0 version. I never had before.
Apart from that, i usually use it in my Mastering chain, before compressor (Rupert Neve 9098 cl) and a soft clip (my favorite S|C Plugin).
I find SBC very effective, sounding warm and clear but processor thirsty.... though 27 DSP is enough

I wish an official tutorial or instructions for this tool.
Because I find it destructive if bad or over used.
4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.

Yeah, but i.e. for a reverb or copressor or delay I know the principles behind, so I understand the effect's controls.
For this I've not udnerstand HOW it does (yes, I knok WHAT it does).
So a PDF reference manual with examples could be useful.
IMO

(and maybe a band is suspected as buggy, read the past forums about it)

I seem to remember the two lower bands having some stereo effect on the low-end, but I don't remember reproducing this in the present.

It's definintely not a transparent processor. As a mastering processor it really gives you that processed sound. Nice to clean up the mix. before limiting.

erminardi, here's the SBC manual. For some reason (they forgot to add it to the installer?) I couldn't find it either, so went to pick it up there a while ago.
