S/TDM Connections

Post by dokken »

Is there a possibility to connect these two scope/home 4.5
boards and use them as one with 6 dsp's ?

Can scope 4.5 software support this ?

How should be 14 dsp power-booster and scope/home 4.5
connected and used as one with 17 Dsp's?

Can this concept work and achieve stability ?

Is there any topic or documentation / manual on this one ?

STDM connection does exactly this. The system is conceived to allow up to 3 boards to be used in a PCI bus which must be connected by that cable. They are seen from the software as a unique system with the sum of the dsp chips and all the I/O's available. You can't use a multiple setup without the STDM connection.

that's right, for two cards use cannectors A and C on the s/tdm cable.

for the two luna/home cards obviously you connect 1 to 2.
for the Professional and Luna/home cards connect 1 to 6

The Scope printed documentation covers this topic briefly (not sure if this is available on the FTP site). If you have any problems, there's plenty more info / help available here on Z.
