There are various problems with VDAT, I'm afraid.

You could try to re-load your 'tape' into VDAT.
Also you could try pressing the locator buttons few times before hitting play.

yep

i thinks they must support better this wonderfull tool that can make a great difference in audio quality from the other
software (cube or sonar etc)
strange they haven't reopen the project of this plugin in SDK for look into
this incredible annoying and stupids bugs
They have lost the Vdat sdk related project?

AH!!! and when a STEREO recordin tool
in 44 48 88 96khz 16 24 32bit integer?

I have to agree.
VDAT has lost it full potential due to it's nasty bugs. I refer to the playback issues after project load, and complete mess when trying to use with VRC 128/S. There are more, but I think these two are the most common issues.

I'm trying not to complain, but these bugs have been a show stopper for me, yet to mention that I paid for this plugin.

Audio quality is great indeed

I've recorded into VDAT, and when I tried to play back, nothing played.

That's meant I've either forgotten to dis-arm the individual channel record buttons, or I'm at the end and I've forgotten to go back to zero. And if I can edit the track so that I see it in Sound Forge, that means the yellow light is flashing, and nothing will play then, either.

VDAT has worked well for me, once I got past 'pilot error.'

best,

john

hi

oki what i mean is that i cant listen anythin if i reload a .vtp file
after a recordin session all works
but after several session you have to listen for mixin purpose and reload the various .vtp file
i know what you said about disarm or end file but isn't my case
try to reload a old .vtp file or switchfrom one to another here no sound from the Vdat

Yes I've got that lately.Loaded old Vtp files and can't hear anything.Loaded files into samplitude and could see waveform there.
Would love a stereo recording plugin built on VDAT algorithm.

a visualition of the tracks after recording
durin playback no real time i mean?
and ask to creamware to add in a new VDAT version paying their works of course.
Anyone interested?

Check this fantastic little freebie thing made by RedMuze, it's a BPM clock for VDAT that also outputs correct speed ramps to run the FleXor sequencer modules. Hook it in parallel to the CLK out of the VCR-S:

It records in .wav format, only linear, not floating, 16,24 and 32bits.

Yes, both 16 and 24 are linear formats.
