you should be asked for the new key.

in the worst case scenario, with Scope closed, make a copy of the keyfile.v5 file in Scope\app\bin as a backup. open the original file and delete the Optimus Prime line, save. open Scope and put the Optimus Prime device into the routing window. you should get a registration window and be able to enter the new key.

It is working now (after I edited the keyfile).

haven't tried Tape Echo yet, but Optimus Prime is very addictive! :D

Super device! Still haven't really figured out the infinite loop thing, because I'm having way too much fun running drum loops through this machine.

Only slight complaint is that when changing presets, I always have to silence the dry signal (using it as an aux). Is there an option to add a toggle/button to have the dry/wet mix unchanged when changing presets? Some devices have this, for instance for BPM... So, if you're having a go at it, do BPM as well?

Again, a classic!!!

Hi Andy,

good to hear you're having fun ;-)

no, there is no way i know in doing what you request, since these are functions which you want to save with the preset.....so....what you can easily do....save them as seperate presets(with your unchanged aux/bpm values)....and switch between those....that is a very easy way isn't it? ;-)

A great example of delay/looping done with inspiration of the Optimus Prime!

I wish I knew how or had a camera to film with.
I am using Prime Time with a Physis K4 and Zebra2/Zebra HZ, and with 6 expression pedlas for the synths and FX it is most addicting locking things together.

Vintage and Howl combined are so close to the old PCM 42 and Prime TIme 53 it's ridiculous, I actually smile....

Thanks for posting jk. That is one AWESOME performance!

Important to note that as cool as Ray's dev is, we can't get those 'dive bombing' effects achieved by reatime delay changes (as Lanois does), since OPrime mutes (for good reason) when we do this . But it isn't just OP, no software dev does a good job of this as far as I know. Only dedicated outboard delays do this properly and without clicks (easy to do with my Dep5 and Deltalab 1024) .

as I understood the demos and comments it can very well do the realtime stuff...
(just doesn't split bandwidth the Lexicon way with increasing time)
to my ears it adds a slightly metallic artefact, but then you have only that much samples in true live mode
... and stuff will also have to get synced to the rest of the system
one could take it as feature similiar to the Lexicon darkening the sound in a muddy way ;)

that's just a guess, I have no idea about the background in Scope...
(except to expect exploding PCI load when taking this too far)

the performance isn't my cup of tea, except for the drummer... :D

cheers, Tom

Yes, it can do some realtime stuff (filtering and modulating), but not all, and not what I'm talking about. And, yes, you can automate changes in delay time too, but you loose all the cool timeshifting distortions between the start and stop point on the dial that you get with a HW unit.

As I understand your post, you haven't tried it yet... you really should try it . Heck...I mean buy it!

All of this IS NOT a deal breaker for me. Making such a dev is a BIG accomplishment. "Howl" is brilliant!

It's just important when making a direct comparison with the hardware inspiration to know the differences.

except for the drummer... :D

Yup, he was one part of the whole "awesome" realtime performance... :D

Exactly why I still have a DEP-5, TC Fireworx and PCM42.
Even though I don't dive bomb I love that turn everything into slow motion hardware delay units achieve.

great as Optimus Prime may be, it is not a real match to my Strymon TimeLine, which, by the way, does the pitch shifting/dives and is sharc DSP powered  ... and four times as expensive. lots of character, still (I mean OptimusPrime).
As has been mentioned a lot: use the strengths of a device/system/..., use something else to fill in the weaknesses.

Hi folks,

I couldn’t wait to share some updates on some of the dNa devices, so
Here you go…enjoy! Will end up on the SC server too ofcourse.

Some features as requested, some inspired by forumtalkz.
dNa-Optimus Prime deserves a v2 with the new algorythms.
Should be compatible with your presets...

http://www.dnamusic.nl/download/dNa-Opt ... e-v2.0.zip
http://www.dnamusic.nl/download/dNa-Tape-Echo-v1.1.zip
http://www.dnamusic.nl/download/dNa-Ste ... -v1.21.zip

dNa-Optimus Prime:
-added Del A to Del B feed (Feed A/B)
-added R as mono out to L/R out (Feed L/R)
-added crosslink function (Delay A to R, Delay B to L)
-added tooltips
-added presets (including basic K-stereo processing)
(Haven't gotten time to update the manual though)

dNa-Tape Echo:
-enhanced GUI a bit
-added tooltips

dNa-Stereo Equaliser:
-added link function
-enhanced solo function
-added tooltips

Regards,
Ray

And a minor bugfix for the Stereo Equaliser, v1.21
Link above is corrected, so please download again.

Edit: tonight i tried some phantompanning with the optimus prime, and some early reflections for maybe mastering....just liven it up.
The panning with delays is really mindboggling process ;-).
Listen to it on a monotrack....see your meters.....and it pans....without the meters changing....your brain interprets the delayed channel as placement.
Nice for live maybe...people standing by one of the speakers won't have anything chang in the mix for them...but, it a delay, so maybe for tranisent sounds a little time correction....just a touch ;-)
Hope you'll find the additions usefull. Again uploaded a new zip for the optimus prime, in there is the updated presetfile.
