Yeah these prices make demo's meaningless, especially reading some of the background of these guys.

Me too ! :P

And I received the keys the same day ! :o

The Dna master comp is awesome !
The strange thing is that they don't sound as an insert. I have to put them in the project window.

Just got keys at 23.30 UK time. Cool. Is there a user manual? The Link filter doesn't seem to do anything, but maybe the source I'm using isn't right to hear the effect.

Built in parallel compression with the blend knob. Nice.

I'm scared to use the Classic Feedback function though in case it invokes the spirit of niceboy. :o

Give Us the Body Of Ralf..........
I bought these in memory of Ralf, I have no idea what kind of synths they are, but the word analog had me hypnotically opening the wallet.
Besides, I make that kind of money on the corner when I get Gasoline.
I always take a 20 spot and stick in the game closet to the door, usually hit 100-120 and fill the tank. Today I fill the tank and get the plugs.

It's when I try for the 1500 USD which are my 2 favorite Prostitutes with the Doctors Kit and Jacuzzi, my greed takes over and I lose.

Keep it small and simple, ya' win.
But these synths looks cool......

Ankyu

Well I got my glowing tubes, but I can't get any synth sounds out of them,
but plugging in the SE-1 I heard a synth, so now I figure
these are for enhancemnets.
They do sound good the Parallel Compresion is really tweakable and each
movement is noticable.
The Glowing Tubes are a must as clients will think they are on an analog
console which justifies my exteme cash requests.

It took a total of 5 minute to get these, installation was very smooth,
somebody's equalled Ralfs perfomance, which was stellar for years.

Good Riddance Bruda Man Ralf Bach, and welcome to the new trained
professional.

Soniccore still rocks, I am ready to buy Scope 6 in advance if anyone cares
to send me an invoice, no discount needed, just want to help mein Brudas
from other mothers.

I tried the Brainrox BX, colored the sound too much, Wolfs good old reliable 9 band parametirc was OK, the GraphFX 31 was doing the task until I tried the DNA with M/S and Analog, it is my weapon of choice now for audio out to the powered QSC K12s, and I will use one on the Leslie Studio 12 also. Tried a second unit of the line from Nashville and it grinds and growls making our B2003 very fierce, especially the dynamics from drawbar use.
It's so nice to go from a left hand triad to a dual manual triad w/o volume jumps, just more tube grind, it's back to the 80s for me.

Using both Post Mixer and Pre Analog/ADAT/AES/EBU Desintaion modules these FX works really good. My Blue Skys need very little tweaking except on a big mix where the MonoMaker and M/S features of the BX Digital were helpful, these plugs are really perfect for getting the quality of sound I get from the Blue Skys in larger powered cabinets.
The QSC K12s sound stunning, running a seperate instance for the Leslie is really nice too as I drive it to the max right before the pre amp. Kind of eliminates the need for a Ring Modulator.
Definately great plugs, and the price is wise enough to get everyone in on the game.

just purchased. Have to admit i'm a sucker for the glowing tube simulations and for simple/immediate gratification types.

Was wondering if we could start a discussion about how these might differ from the other similar plugs in this catagory and maybe where you might use these instead.

I have:
Brainworx BX Digital v2 and DAS Legend plus all the stock plugs. i'll see if I have time to do some testing and post it back here.

Do I miss something (what is very possible) ?
I don't get sound when the dna (eq or compressor) are in a insert. Is it done on purpose ? Is it a bug ?
I can see the vu meters moving but the sound is cut.
Do you experiment the same ?

It is disturbing my organized life !

got my keys about 2 hours ago.
Great sound out of both devices!

Did some simple comparing btwn Master Comp, Vinco-X, DAS Legend, and SC-C S

Sounds: Piano, Organ, Nylon Guitar (keyboard sound) thru headphones (cause it's late and kids ta bed)
First Impressions: Master Comp = Vinco on Steroids
I tried to make things equal btwn the plugs to get a good comparison, there is obviously a lot of different settings amongst the 4.
At first could not tell a difference btwn Master Comp and Vinco until I started turning it up and the Master Comp seems to have a lot more head room plus a lot of extra tweakness controls. The DAS Legend gets a rounder softer tone which I still like but started to distort when I tried to match the level of the Master Comp. The stock SC-C S went into distortion too after a certain level. All great devices too I might add.
The Stereo Equaliser I think I will check against Bx-digital v2 and maybe PSY-Q and Optimaster, not sure if that would be a level playing field though.

Disclaimer: Take this for whatever it's worth. Technically and engineer-wise I have no idea what i'm doing, i'm just using my ears and going for pure loudness and warmth of sound. There's a lot more to all of these devices than i'm giving credit to.

Curious to read some of the more advanced users views/reviews and see how these sound on live inputs like vocals, guitar, drums.
A manual would help dopes like me too. :)
Dan

yes it's the same here, no sound as an insert although it looks like a signal is present.

Thanks for the link, some useful info there in the descriptions. Reloading the device was the only thing I saw there for troubleshooting. Not a showstopper though, if it's a bug i'm sure it will be fixed.
