use https://www.winprivacy.de/english-home/ to get rid of all the bloat and spyware, that comes with W10.
A clean W10 system runs quite well, but after each update you have to clean it again. W10 suxx. :-?

I received some infos, when I bought 5.1.. it's German.

Intel EIST
Intel C State
C1E Support
Overspeed Protection
Hyperthreading
Execute Bit Support
Set Limit CPUID MaxVal to 3 (nicht unbedingt)
Intel Virtual Tech
Intel VT-d Tech

In case it wasn’t mentioned, disable Defender if your using sampled instruments.
Defender scans your drives reducing polyphony from the excessive permissions and increased latency.

If you ask me Defender just scans your data so they can collect in exchange for “Safety.”

Keep that sucker offline too.
I use a totally separate PC for downloads and use Acronis Cloning or just large USB flash drives to transfer data.

In English:

Your audio calculator:
For an audio computer (with low ASIO latency) certain settings are necessary
since Core i7, i5, i3 computers get latency themselves by nonsensical energy-saving settings.
As a result, with ASIO, without the slightest CPU load, there are individual faults already at 25 ms.
The following settings should be disabled in the BIOS if available:
Intel EIST
Intel C State
C1E support
Overspeed protection
Hyperthreading
Execute Bit Support
Set Limit CPUID MaxVal to 3 (not necessarily)
Intel Virtual Tech
Intel VT-d Tech
The energy-saving measures of the operating system can also be disruptive.
That's why everything should be set to "top performance" there.
Particularly disturbing may also be Windows services, e.g. Monitor the mainboard in real time.

Hello
I write again.
I've got a xite and a sandy brige PC with B75 chipset (no win 10 update, to old).
I use Live ableton and the push 2 too, win 10 64 bits
I have tweaked windows and bios, change the video card, remove internet things (updates, firewall, defender, onedrive...)
But there are little crackles every 2 or 3 minutes on a live project very light ( minimax 4 voices, 4 outs asio and 2 in asio) at 4 or 25 ms latency
The live project is 4 tracks freozen (1%cpu)
Whithout asio it seems to work fine

There is a problem with sandy bridge, xite and win 10 64 bits?
Before with Win 7 en scope 32 bits it was ok on the same mobo.
Do I buy a rme card and have 2 computers (expensive!) one for the synths one for asio
Or do I buy a Z270 chipset with new compu (expensive too)
or can I hope my config work?

Thanks man, a lot!
And long life to S|C
I wannt to use that xite in live! please!

Thanks

you need to find out what is running in the background that is eating cpu cycles.

you did disable EIST and Turbo and Hyperthreading in the bios, right?

no, there's no issue with XITE andf sandy bridge and win10, that i am aware of. One Drive is definitely a good suspect, but the firewall and defender shouldn't be a problem. there is no way to completely disable updates in win10, but that probably isn't the issue either....

Hello
disable EIST and Turbo and Hyperthreading in the bios : this is OK
Thanks for the encouragement!
I think the push 2 takes ressources but it is for audio (anyone have one with xite?)
I have tried latencymon but it says that my computer is ok for real time
Is there a program that shows the cpu peaks (and not average) of the background program?
Onedrive is disabled.

thanks

open the task manager and look at the details when there are crackles. you might find an entry that is using extra cpu resources....

I'm not into win/pci-e configurations, but with win/pci there have been problems when irqs are shared between the pci-slot and an usb-controller.

yes, a usb controller that shares an irq with the XITE should probably be disabled.
