ADA8200 x 2 + A16 ULTRA

Post by dawman »

Finally found the right combination.
2 modified Black Lion Audio ADA8200s, and the A16 Ultra with dual Z-Link.

Plugged everything in and I guess Z-Link doesn't need any fancy sync stuff, but the ADA8200s and Fireworx are slaved.

Impressive.
Setting up the entire QSC KW Array in my cathedral 40 x 60 Living/Dining/Breakfast room area, I eat on the couch from now until this beast gets tweaked.

I still have hardware if I don't get the tone I like from the XITE-1.
But just DBX Compresser and a pair of modified Bellari RP562 Sonic Tube Exciters.

Took 7 years to master the XITE-1 but what an impressive piece of gear.

Every digital setup can improve soundquality even more with a dedicated clock. No hassle ever again if you invest in a good wordclock generator and just connect all to that. Might give that a try dawman.

Mutec has some nice units. As you see it is not the cheapest setup but one of the best investments you can do in digital imho

Looked at the MC3 and might get one but just racked up the new Radial Space Heater.
Had to put 1 x TC Fireworx back in the Rack as I forgot the singers were spoiled by its incredible Pitch Shift Algos.
I run sampled Fender Rhodes, Zebra2 HZ, Solaris and my Hammond B3 module into the Tubes.
Fuckin' A. fantastic.
A16 and BLA 8200s are working fine and sound great through IEMs as well as my Stage rig and the PA.

Got lots of hardware I'm not using anymore.
