Are all the I/O's on the Xite available to use at the same time? (ADAT,Z Link,AES)

If you use the mic pre's on the front are the XLR inputs on the back disabled?

Nothing is unusable.
You can even buy adapters from Mono Price or Hosa to take any signal into the AES Port.

There are modules that make no sense though and don't have a function.
Like headphone in.
Mic pre out.

ah ok got thanks guys.

i've had a Behringer MX8000 since 96 and I figure it might be any day that it craps out on me, most likely the pwr supply will go.
I've been thinking about downsizing for a replacement and I just might go without a mixer if I can.
I finally just found a meter bridge for it so i figure that now would be the time for it to die on me

Are you talking about the converters from ADAT or SPDIF to AES? I looked at some a while back but they seemed expensive to me.

Actually since you've mentioned it on other threads. I have been looking at those TC Fireworx with the AES. Looks like a great port from the Xite to run a hardware effects loop. Seems TC might be to only one to use AES though.

Actually theres auite a few.
PCM91 but the Fireworx is perfect for this.
Then SPDIF for a Lexicon MPX 1 is really nice too.
Leaves you room for a decent ADAT mic pre.
Also another Fireworx using the AXAT.

I've mixed an entitr band before plus my rig.

Toslink to AES is 40 bucks.
Toslink to SPDIF is 40 too.

If you need certain stuff just ask.
I have tons of these laying around for just about any conversion you can imagine.

Well, l think I scored a couple of good deals. I think that I might have to mark the week after black friday and cyber monday as Ebay deal week because i think nobody has any money left to bid on quality gear.

You did score big time.
I am expert on creating custom presets in the Fireworx.
You get in a pinch let me know.
If for some reason it won't store them it's a battery inside that needs replacing.

If you ever get 2 of these they cascade digitally or via analog and are extremely quiet.

Shit bro you be ready for stage.!!!

 ahh i'd love to play live. Too rinky dink to make a living at it and not enough time with a career and family. Too bad I can't clone myself. Did you ever see that movie Multiplicity with Michael Keaton.

Thanks JV, i will pm you if I need any expertise. Really looking fwd to it.

Thier pitch shift and reverse delay are worth every red cent spent.
Once you get tired of demoing presets start from scratch and listen to every parameter.
Such a precise fx unit.

Proud for you
