LBH LE ongoing update

Post by spacef »

Hello,
I do not know how many users of LBH there is around (not many i guess)
but I intend to make an update to LBH-LE in order to have :
- corrected aux 1 to aux 2 bleed over
- full volume control over Aux-gain modulation
- BUT aux gain modulation will be "pre" only, no more "post"
- + various cosmetics and text labelling here and there

This one is "almost done", i just need to add the new aux gain modulation gain to the presets.
I hope loosing the post aux gain modulation is not a big deal. If either one of '"pre" or "post" have to be kept, I felt that "pre" is more desirable with all effects.
I may also cut the aux individual outputs: if it still allows to create a gain modulation on each sound by routing them to empty aux effects, than I will do that (ie, get rid of the aux individual outputs, to make space on the project workspace).

QUESTION:
Are people interested by
- LBH LE without included Eqs and limiter, replaced by inserts, to load the ones you want? Having an eq inside is quite necessary though, so may be I will keep the eq and Add an insert somewhere. The limiter can go away, no problem for that one. That may be part of a bigger overhaul on that device (for example, to include an audio ramp input for the sync rather than the internal engine only).

This second idea will take more time in any case.

I am moving to a new home again this week and the next, so this adds to the delay, but we are almost there.
If you have something to request, it is time to do so, because once the things are in the course of being implemented, there is little way to change anything.
Thanks,
see you
Mehdi

Hi,
I would like to use this on Xite. Inserts are cool, more options are better :)
I bought LBH, but it did not work with Xite, so i think LBH-LE will be fine, even without inserts...

Hi nomagic,
lbh-le should already be included in your download and it should work just fine in xite.
do you have it?
The "bleedover" (send aux 1 output to aux 2 inputs) is not right in the currently released version and is being repaired, but a part from that, it is running fine.
Thanks for the other comments too.

Hi,
i checked my files, there is only LBH-VIII. I did not know that LBH-le should be there. Maybe i downloaded the wrong file from sonic core?

I am glad to see the " Return Of The Medhi."
I'll donwload the new LE version and see what it has.
I haven't been able to get anything from the website for a long time.
Where can I get all of the old Oscillators these days...?
That would complete my collection again.

Thanks

You mean the Jaws osc Jimmy? I remember Mehdi made a seperate device for this osc for the LBE LE.
I think it was contained within the normal LBH version which doesnt run properly on xite, but was created seperately for LE version.
Good to see you're back Mehdi :)

I downloaded the new file - now LBH LE is running in my xite :D
Thank you very much for this device!
I don't think i would miss post aux gain modulation.
Now i have to learn how to use it before i can give more feedback.
By the way - there was an error in one of the downloaded archives (LBH repack), which could not be opened. Not a problem for me, but maybe for others.

There were ones like MoBass and Jaws, but I was referring to the Drum Oscillators, which I thought you made.

Sadly I have the archives, but forgot to copy over the registration files when I re installed Windows.
Which is why I really need new username and password for the link to the old site.

Also happy to say I am using so much hardware these days I can use the combinations of Modular Mixers now at higher sample rates/connectivity, and still use B2003 and Modular IV.

Life is good in the XITE-1 realm.

Yes Mehdi I am missing he drum sample stuff and MoBass.
WHich seem to be great for the unit as i REMEBER WE WERE TESTING THEM, IF THEYT DON'T EXIST I CAN TRY OTHER SAMPLES MAYBE, BUT YOURS WERE WELL WRITTEN FOR THAT APP AND THE lbh mIXER i WAS MESSING WITH.
oTHER THAN THAT i HAVE YEARS OF INCREDIBLE DEVELOPMENTS FROM YOU THAT TOOK YEARWS JUST TO GET MY HEAD AROUND AND FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE,
aSTONISHING DEVELOPMENTS AND WORTH 4 TIME ATHE ASKING PRICE, BUT i KNOW THE WHINERS WILL ATTACK, SO i WISH YOU WELL AND THINK OF ME NEXT TIME YOU MESS WITH YOUR DRUM OSCILLATORS.
