XITE-1 with Scope 5.1 on a 64 bit Windows 8.1 machine

Post by wouterz »

What are the known issues for this setup?

Is the list below correct?

STS samplers do not work
Sample OSC in modular and Zarg synths do not work (what about other devices)
XTC does not work
Sequencers in the Modular and Zarg synts do not work (What about the Flexor sequencers?)

Are there any other known issues with Scope devices using this configuration?

that's about it.
i believe that sample oscs are bad regardless of device, but i may be wrong about this.
Flexor sequencers do work, afaik.

And VDAT was also not working right?

I have to decide if I go for 32 bit or 64 bit Windows 8. The things I would miss are the sequencers and the sample OSC.

Perhaps these could help? (for vdat and sequencers)

unless you are planning to use TONS of big Kontact libraries, all loaded and active at the same time, there isn't much reason to use 64bit windows for audio. for video and cad/cam, 64bit is superior, but almost every audio app and vst is really a 32bit app that has been bridged for 64bit operation. because of this, 32bit worlds will be faster and more stable.
