Looks like they're still using the old DSP's for all the I/O.

I've done a bit of experimenting with this and I think it's just a problem with the 1632X mixer. I can actually hook up 64 ASIO Ins and Outs now if I use the 4896X! (see pic)

I made sure to actually try out the channels in Ableton Live, so they're definitely working.

why would anyone(with an XITE-1) even want to use the 1632 when the 2448 or 4896 is available?

no argument there, you've informed S|C, no? now you never need that mixer again.

Just because the Xite-1 has massive dsp headroom doesn't necessarily imply that you should give up trying to be economical when creating projects. There is a downside in project load times of being wasteful with the resources.

Admittedly, I'd not bother using 1632 as a main mixer, but it can be handy as a sub-mixer, so I don't see why it should be thrown away, if that's what you're suggesting?

P.S. I'm not suggesting it should be a big priority to fix this, I'm just not comfortable with the principle of ditching devices just because there are bigger and better alternatives.

i think the dynamic mixer would be a better sub mixer, but hey, i'm not saying that the 1632 shouldn't be fixed, just that it is a low priority even to the users. for everything else the bigger mixers are just more suited to actual work...

i DO think that S|C should be informed of the problem by anyone who cares. not that they don't know already, they may or may not know...

64bit perfection.
Delay Times are moved slowly w/ a CC2x2 and slightly offset just like the real deal.
Filtering gives further authenticity.
This effect makes Modular IV worth the asking price.
Zero zippers. The most authentic virtual effect I own.....

There are some strange things happening when trying to use
the Direct Outs into the ASIO Dest. Module, but as far as a
functioning mixer for Live work the 1632 is packing plenty of
effects and works really well.
I noticed the AUX's I use to not like so much are working very
well now too.
It seems they do not multiply the Gain once you crank one of
them up.
I use to try and use 4 AUX configs and each AUX knob added
more gain.
This has been changed from what I can see.

I can also save and load large projects now, and as some guys have
noted things are a little peppier too.
Could be because of the SSD using the OS+APPs since Kontakt snaps
much faster too.
I am just glad to see S|C rolling along.

BTW I can use much larger mixers for recording projects but I was just
testing everything like the stock effects, mixers and modular.
VDAT is most welcome now too.

P.S. tjsound: the picture was my handywork, to help me remember the Xite-1 internal layout for dsp allocation.

You can also add disabling the Spread Spectrum too.
That's necessary for smoothing spikes and peaks in the CPU from the overclocking.
I had it enabled as it was suppose to be helpful in reducing electro magneto interferance on arrays where the HDD's are stacked.

Also have changed settings to 1.5v ( stock for X58 ) and 1244MHz w/ 12GB's.
Diminishing returns above these settings, although 1600 works, I don't see the benefits using Kontakt 4.2.

Start Computer, as soon as you see anything on the screen, start pressing delete over and over until the motherboard BIOS screen appears.
Then use the cursors on your QWERTY to sift through the options.

Not sure which motherboard you own, but you need to enter its BIOS screen.
Read the manual if you are unsure.
Then find these buggars and tweak until things work..

Go to the motherboard manufacturers forum and and ask for more specific help.
I am a Moron when it comes to technical stuff, so I was at others mercy, but the last few years I have studied and experimented and it paid off in spades...
