I couldn't wait any longer for reverb development.
After trying the very best from VST and Scope I got a PCM70.
I would love to see a real well designed Reverb that can access the RAM but until then I had to make a move. Let's hope S|C addresses this eventually.
I am thinking since Solaris is using 6 of the same DSP chips, they have some new ideas of how to use RAM and some new algos.
Actually if JBowen and Holger want to they could probably have an XITE-1 based Solaris too.
The same chips and extra RAM seems very similar.
Wow..................now that I think about it, I would love to have the hardware version, controlling another version in the XITE-1............Sweetness.

Yep I reckon Solaris development could leg-up XITE-1 dev in the long run....

qwave se runs but you gotta do the dsp dance and ignore the vxd error messages.

I am ready for Live gigs with the new DAW.
34 hours straight w/o a single problem.
I had to edit the OS a little so the screen would NEVER shut down, and a few other little optimizations for the SSD's but this DAWg Will Hunt.

I will upgrade the 1U i5 to the Sandy Bridge at Christmas when they release the right version.
So until then I willjust use the new i7 build.
BTW it overclocks like a monster, but for my meger needs, I will use the hardware overclocking option Switches in their default state.
I can only play maybe 3 or 4 stereo tracks layered in a live gig, so the giant templates will be used in the studio where I can load up tons of samples and audition sounds on the fly..

I am very pleased with S|Cs' BETA. I have never BETA tested live, but I see no reason to leave this DAWg in the backyard. It belongs onstage with me.

You're a brave man Jimmy using a beta version so soon on stage.
BTW what is that little window on top of Reaper that shows the SCOPE Project window?
Is that something neat you can do with Reaper or....?
Also who is Wilma Jacobs? - an alias?

It's a pop up from 64bit Windows 7.
And Wilma use to buy everything for me during our brief breeding episodes.
Now I am a free agent who pays for everything........it sucks.

I see nothing unstable about the new DAW.
Prime 95 torture test for 34 hours w/o a hiccup.
Check out the hardware overclocking using the switch....

I will only use this hardware switch when I am in a session where the engineer wants to have more options and articulations. I can load them on a large template and play a patch with 24 different strokes w/o re loading.

But live I might play 4 stereo instruments at a time, and that's when I will use the default switch at stock speeds. I can use really low buffers now and even run a project in Scope @ 96k/1msec.
I am pretty stoked.

Tape Delay Short & Long in 64bit have been fixed.
This is great news as this effect is incredible and no where else other
than having a ROland Space Echo or Lexiocn Prime Time Model 93, can
I make zipper free adjustments in realtime.
I believe UAD has made one but I haven't had the priveldge to adjust
in realtime to see how well it works.
But I do know that mine works and I am as happy as a Pig In Shit......

I use a SpaceF R124V Router into a MiniMix by SpaceF for a well designed
live app.
I also have Warp69's Plate-X in this project for when I change the 1U DAW
into a Windows 7 64bit portable rig.
The project below is just beautiful.
Standalone of Kontakt 4.1 and Scope at ultra low latencies @ 96k works well
too but I really don't see a need for this live. But for recording/mastering using hardware.,......why not..?

I won't use it, but I am interested to see how it's working since ProTools amde a fortune due to its integration.
I'll try and see how Reaper works this weekend and report back.

Anyone w/ Windows 7 x64.....
Can you get the 24bit Wave Source Module to play mp3's.?
I kept thinking it was Reaper, then Gold Wave, Audacity, LAME x64,etc.
I need confirmation before I waste time Skypmin S|C....

Haven't tested mpukees yet, but wav's are working (so far).
But then I haven't done a lot of stress-testing with wav's yet.

Have you tried it with just wma player or VLC, or ???

Greg

p.s. I'm on Skype also, so look me up.

1. i found that change ULLI setting requires reload scope software, previously, this was not..
2. scope 5.1beta perfectly open projects and worked on laptop with expresscard, but simple opening host-programm (ableton, reaper (and x64 too), cubase) causes PCI overflow error. I do not understand why.

the reason for point 2 is because the ASIO modules are only fully loaded and using DSPs and Connections when the sequenzer is started, afaik... Experienced that myself a few years ago... and yes, there's still a limitation for asio channels, because it goes over pci or pcie to the host. But nevertheless, it should be possible to route about 64 channels (24bit) to the host sequencer with the xpress card, according to S|C.

how long is your cable to your notebook?

1,8 meter - bundled with the card.

later I'll try again, just try to eliminate most of interrupt conflicts .

Here's my first attempt at making an ASIO Master Channel with 32 channels connected.
Didn't get very far in RC_2708.
Anyone in the mood to concur........?
