No Problems w/ XITE-1 & Modular......edit:

Post by dawman »

I have been checking many modules and have had great success w/ BC Modular, CW Modular and most of Flexor III.
Certain combinations of stock Creamware mixed w/ Flexor III prompts me for a registration. I have corresponded with Holger and Ralf D. on this matter, so it is being looked into.
But I also was hoping some guys shared the same Modules and could chime in with any difficulties or examples.
Guys with Scope 5.0 are having pretty much the same conflicts as XITE-1, so chime in if you have noticed anything.

Below I have tried to use the embeeded ASIO modules and when I load them I get a dialog " Only 1 ASIO Source Module Can Be Used ", and the same goes for the Destination dialog that follows.
The ASIO embedded module seems to be a combination of both.
I then deleted the ASIO Source & Destination Modules in the routing window.....ooooops.
Bidule has a major crash.
So I repeated this and left the modules in the routing window while loading the ASIO embedded module in the Modular shell.................ooops.....major Bidule crash,...same w/ Reaper and Spubase 4.0.

Has anyone ever had success with these MIDI and ASIO embedded Modules..?

Could a fellow XITE-1 Brotha' see if this works.
I guess it can't be used in Scope 4.1, but I am hoping someone would verify.
I have included necessary Modules, but Flexor III, and Roy's CWModular stuff is needed.

I loaded them with no problems or error messages. Using ASIO1-32 Dest 64 and Win7/32.

Thanks JD.
Ralf just fixed my last little bit of issues with Modular.
A new key to combine the various Flexors, SC Mod II & III.
Within 24hours of sending a string request my problems were solved.

I now know XITE-1 Modular patches aren't compatible w/ the cards.
I am having a blast making Patches.
Praowave & Solaris can cover many sounds, but Modular using 3rd party modules can get cover the parts PW & SOL won't be doing.

The Patch above has a free fader on the CC Device. Applying that to the Cutoff Frequency of the Filter is great for added motion.
The snippet below had the XFade and Cutoff Frequency being modulated by the LFOtoMIDI Modular Patch by at0m at a rate of 10Hz.
Having the Wavetable Osciallators mixed with the C4T Oscillator is super FAT.
It reminds me of the PPG 2.3 synths of yore.

Roy's new MVC C w/ help from Brotha' Man Decimator is just a lifesaver.
Combined w/ Medhi's CC Device Modular patches can have control of all parameters with cable connections and right clicks on anything unconnected. It's awesome.

I'm using Sound Forge to capture the mixdown, and that works best with ASIO.
