Help! No more sound out of my Minimax after firmware update!

I just updated the firmware of my Minimax ASB using the software on the Sonic Core website.
I entered the activation key which was listed in their 'how to' text file.
After updating the firmware I got a notification the the update was written successfully, though after rebooting my Minimax I get no more sound out of it.

Is it possible to restore the old firmware - either from the S|C website or from a backup? Have you tried loading different presets, moving all knobs/controls? In any case, I'd email support@sc and let them know about your issue!

this may read stupid... but I can't imagine SC to produce personalized read-me files.
That code probably was just an example.
You should repeat the process with YOUR activation key.
If you've never read or heard about such a thing (because you just bought the box or so...) you may need to request that code from Sonic Core

yes, I guess that's what I did wrong. Why you would need an activation key to update a firmware is beyond me...I've never came across that on any other device..
I've contacted SC support and am waiting for response.

well, the point is actually quite simple - the code of the device cannot run without protection.
If it would, someone (experienced enough... and believe me, there are quite a few...) could simply dump it to another device and/or modify it .
That's the way it goes...
