Saving User Sounds

Post by b3keys »

Hi Everyone. I am new to this great, informative forum. I an a new owner of a Pro-12 ASB and had a few questions;

1. Has anyone used the remote software with Windows Vista?
2. Are there drivers needed/required for operation with Vista?
3. When using the remote software, I am unable to load a preset bank to the user bank area. I get an error message "Cannot read from file." I have the midi connections set properly. Is this a Vista bug or something else?
4. If I manually make changes without using the software and try to save to a user preset, the changes do not take. Must one always use the remote software to save user presets?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi B3keys and welcome to teh pack.

The PRO-12 ASB is a great instrument. As for Vista I really do not know as I am still using Xtra Pants (XP).

However be assured that that the PRO-12 does store user patches without the software and it can sound a lot better than the patches supplied.

Just make sure you read the manual as to saving the patches properly. I have made many patches and sometimes have not dbl pressed the write button to save and have subsequently lost them.

Cheers

Tony
