I run my midi system through a Midiman Midisport 8x8 unit. My controller is connected to i/o Port 1, and my Pro12 ASB is connected to i/o Port 5.
Usually (like in SONAR) I select a track, then set the midi in to port 1, and the out to port 5, and my controller plays the Pro12...fine...perfect in fact.
BUT in the Pro12 editor, I cannot get my controller to play the ASB, no matter what settings I use. The editors own virtual keyboard will only play the Pro 12 if BOTH the midi in and out are set to Port 5. If I change the midi in to Port 1...nothing. If I change the midi out to Port 1...nothing. and so on for all of the midi channels both in and out.
Any suggestions??
