Ok the Cake is finished but what about some icing on the cake. What about motorised faders!

They would be so cool on the ASB Range. When I look at an ASB, the settings are not neccesarily set anything like to what the noise is being made!

I think we would have to settle for a mode choice for the encoders....
like jump mode.......(for sound editing) and pass thru (for live editing)

Jump meaning if a fader is moved slightly the parameter value will immediatly jump to the new placement......

Pass thru mode would be the fader would need to physically move thru the point the value was set with....possibly once a fader was moved the led indicator could act as a director to which way the fader needs to be moved and change color once you were locked in....

I agree Snapshot faders would be the cats ass...... but there are so many on a cs80........Maybe a ramping could be added as well so when you move to a placement you could set a base time value so the paramater ramps to the new location.........possibly this could be usefull as morphing between presets.. :)

I love my snapshots on my ddx3216 mixer. Life is so easy.

Or.......go really silly!

Increase the size of the ASB to accomodate the largest possible size for any POTENTIAL ASB Panel. The panel has no controls. It is a touch sensitive colour screen (as per PDA's and Tablets).

Each dial/knob etc is digitally represented on the screen. move a slider with your finger/ rotate with a finger etc. You buy the unit with a "Base" emulation (such as Prodyssey). You slip in alternate cardridges etc for a MInimax/CS80/Prohet emulation complete with screen renderings. Possibly even multitimbral and you select which "screen" you are editing of the Prophet/Minimax/CS80/Prodyssey monster patches you are editing.

However due to the cost of a custom sized panel this may prove expensive!

However that is just pie in the sky......today.

I also have a Behringer DDX3216.......and since you know what I mean about "snapshots", you probably know that the DDX has an adjustable ramp time between presets.....this could be used as a crazy morph feature on subpatches(panel settings)
